I leave July 29th for Dublin Ireland and then Scotland. Nine days in Ireland/Northern Ireland playing Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Royal Portstewart, Ardglass, The Island, Portmarnock, and Royal Dublin. Then to Scotland for 16 days. Playing Dunbarnie, Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay, Castle Stuart, Nairn, Royal Dornoch, Royal Troon, and Prestwick. I used Hidden Links to build almost all the trip. I added a few golf courses by myself. A buddy of mine is going on the Ireland trip, and my wife will be traveling with my on the Scotland trip.

We got confirmation yesterday that we were officially selected in the lotto for 36 at Muirfield for our trip in August 2027. So pumped. After the Old Course, it was the one I was most excited to play.

Still waiting on the other tee sheets to open so we can get official confirmations, but the lineup will be:

North Berwick
Old Couse
New Course
Muirfield (36 with alt shot in the afternoon)
Kingsbarns
Elie

And we're going to add Crail and probably sneak in one more while in St Andrews. I'd like to play the Castle course.

Extra round from St Andrews should be Carnousti

None of us are interested in Carnoustie actually. Crail is definitely going to be added. We almost said no to Kingsbarns because we'd rather avoid big tour operator stops, but it seemed like a fun add. Maybe Lundin?

Old, New, Berwick and Elie were our 4 musts. So happy we got Muirfield because not guaranteed.

Man, why not interested in Carnoustie? It was up there for most of us on our trip. Great course, ton of history with the Open. And I didn't find it to be as hard as I heard it was.

Lundin was pretty good, convenient to Crail and Elie for sure. Think it's better than Levin, but we didn't play Levin.

Good call on Elie as a must though. I know all the golf podcasters have hyped that place up, but it is truly special. Was top 2 of the 8 I played (behind Old Course). Just a fun, super quirky and beautiful golf course. I've dreamed about playing it again ever since.

Elie is awesome. One of my favorite rounds of golf.
