He's played my course Hackberry Creek a few times with partners etc. first time he's tried to break the record which is pretty cool to see. My best from the tips was a 74. Guy plays the course three times and ______ the record. Crazy how good these guys are.

I always ask who owns the course record when playing a new course. If it's the local pro, I'll make sure I don't beat it. After all, he lives in that community, and I'm just visiting.

Spoiler warning? Just sayin'.

On a side note, my Dad always loved Hackberry. I've never been out there, so I look forward to watching.

I don't think the blank really helps for anyone with any deductive reasoning.

Watched this last night. First time I have watched any youtube golf stuff, other than some putting videos. I really enjoyed it. Bryson comes off really great. A little analytical and dorky, but in a lovable way. 400 yard drives is insane. Dude could not sink a putt though. Thanks for posting and finally making me get into this.

Bryson puts out surprisingly entertaining content. He can be a little annoying sometimes but seems like hes a good dude. His Break 50 series is really good.

I've also really enjoyed Bryan Brothers and Grant Horvat stuff. There's a whole thread on YT golfers.

I'm just happy when I break 90 at a 'random' course I've never played... haha

Never was much of a fan of his until I started watching his YouTube channel. He has some good stuff there and seems like a pretty good guy. Fan now.

Thanks for sharing. I watched it the other day and had a few reactions (small spoiler alert):

1) This was an engaging and entertaining watch - I was more into it than pro golf broadcasts (which I haven't been bothering with lately).

2) The only annoying part to me was the homeowner with his kid out there. Idk if that was a plant for the vid or what, but it was cringey. The rest of the members seemed pretty lowkey, cool and supportive of Bryson and his crew.

3) Although he tied it, he very well could have smashed it by 2-3 more strokes. Its yet another testament to how good the top players in the world are, in that they can just roll out of bed, go to a course when its in normal conditions, and set a record that may have been standing for years.

4) Hackberry looks like a fun course/layout. As I was watching I was trying to get glimpses of it and think about how I'd hit shots. It doesn't just seem like a monotonous, neighborhood course.

In regards to #2 doubt it was a plant. I don't mind a random guy giving props or saying hi but this dude just kept going on and on in an obnoxious way. He was just excited tho.

I really dont understand how Bryson has become one of the more likable guys on golf social media after being an absolute dewshnozzle in the beginning of his career. I dont think he is acting much different than he used to be, hes just putting out more positive content and people are seeing him in a different light and controlling the narrative and not letting the media cast him as a self-entitled jackazz who is trying to change golf's "storied history" 180*.

I really like watching his stuff now online

I'm biased as it's my course but Hackberry is one of the best tracks in DFW. It consistently hosts USGA qualifier events due to its difficulty. Granted its not much for a good tour player. Steven Bowditch played with our group for a while and he could shoot a 67 while downing a 12 pack. Its downfall is usually the conditions as it gets ran over quite a bit being a "value" club.

Well, if you're ever in the mood to host I'd be a willing participant. (And if you're ever in the Houston area I'd be happy to reciprocate as well).
