The thirty best players on tour? I think we should let it count.

Definitely. This isn't some exhibition we are talking about.

In a full field event yes theres more guys who can randomly get hot and win. But realistically theres not many more than 30ish who can legitimately win anyway.

Doesn't look like really anyone at the moment. Apparently, Denny McCarthy has the most career money without a win.

The internet AI seems to say Tringale is now the current leader in this category and still playing.

Does a 30 man field really count?

Does the team that wins the Final Four in March Madness count?

Haven't heard this name in a while. He was more known as Rickie's roommate than as a pro golfer.

He probably isn't gonna win too many PGA Tour events on LIV.

I mean, he IS the top ranked amateur in the world. So in the amateur golf sphere, he is super well known. But if you don't follow college golf, there is no reason for you to know about him.

I mean he's also played in 6 PGA tournaments this year and made the cut in 5. Two of those top 10s.

Well for a top rank amateur to be the BEST player out there without a win is a huge stretch IMO. And I don't know anyone that follows college golf (in my social circle), so there's that lol

Yeah the podcast world and data nerds love Jackson Koivun. The same people who go nuts for top prospects in baseball like they are the 2nd coming despite the fact that most of the time they don't really work out. Everybody loves a great unknown.

If the question is who is the current player who has had the best career and not won on the PGA Tour, its probably Alex Noren. Buncha European wins and great 36 hole player at majors.

If its a question of which player would win right now if you plopped all the non-winners in a few tournaments and who came out with the best outcomes: I think I'd take Denny McCarthy

I don't think cb1919 was serious.

But maybe he is. Who knows.

Implicit in the question is the belief that the guy should have won by now. That's the point behind Tommy. He was too good to go so long without a win. With that in mind, I don't think there's really anyone on tour currently that you can look at and go "I can't believe that guy hasn't won yet." No one is shocked that McCarthy or Tringale (or an Am who's played less than 10 events) hasn't won.

The comment was 75% sarcastic.

But if the next guys on the list are McCarthy and Tringale, you could convince me of the amateur.

Google AI shows this for career earnings and no PGAT win

Tringale > $17M
Alex Noren > $17M
Patrick Rogers > $18M
Ben An (my choice out of this group) > $21M
Denny McCarthy > $21M
