Lately I have been seeing lots of people out with their dogs playing their round of golf. I mean the dog is obediently riding in the cart with them (I recognize having the dog running around all over the place, barking, and pooping on the course is definitely not acceptable). I see mostly small dogs mostly but I have seen some large ones. I wondered what the acceptable practices are? Is it course to course whether they are allowed? Is this common? If we are playing a neighborhood course, I get the residents out walking their dog on the carts path, I am asking about someone who doesn't live on the course, brings their dog from wherever they came from and plays their round.
I saw an older gentleman a few days ago at Sterling Country Club with a boxer, props to that guy because I grew up with boxers and their endless energy and that dog just sat obediently on the cart while he took his shots.
