I get the LOL, but it is a fairly big difference for a short distance move.
I lived in Schertz in the early 90s and in Seguin in the latter half of the '00s. In those places, I rarely heard anything the mayor/city council did. They pretty much did the bare minimum and let people go about their business. San Antonio is (since I moved to the area in the late 80s) stuck with activist and corrupt pols who push their pet agendas and kowtow to special interest groups.
In Schertz/Guad county, my taxes and auto insurance will be SIGNIFICANTLY lower (Bexar Co has way higher comprehensive and un/underinsured driver rates than most counties in Tx). Will be glad not to pay for stupid projects like Pre-K for SA, the next VIA cluster-eff, and the next sports arena someone decides the city really needs and to not give a flip who succeeds numnuts as mayor.
