I get the LOL, but it is a fairly big difference for a short distance move.

I lived in Schertz in the early 90s and in Seguin in the latter half of the '00s. In those places, I rarely heard anything the mayor/city council did. They pretty much did the bare minimum and let people go about their business. San Antonio is (since I moved to the area in the late 80s) stuck with activist and corrupt pols who push their pet agendas and kowtow to special interest groups.

In Schertz/Guad county, my taxes and auto insurance will be SIGNIFICANTLY lower (Bexar Co has way higher comprehensive and un/underinsured driver rates than most counties in Tx). Will be glad not to pay for stupid projects like Pre-K for SA, the next VIA cluster-eff, and the next sports arena someone decides the city really needs and to not give a flip who succeeds numnuts as mayor.

The masks and not being able to read lips is killing me as well. On top of bad hearing this past spring my allergies are at an all time worst so the drainage isn't helping. I feel like an idiot when people talk to me and I am like what the hell are you saying?? luckily I just have not been going in anywhere unless I really have to.

After three repetitions, I mentally flip a coin and say yes or no even if still I don't know what the question is. Who knew that Charlie Brown's teacher is waiting tables in Stone Oak!
So did you get extra cheese on the shoe they cooked for you?

Ha, no, but I did end up with guilt-free queso once!
