We are staying at the Hilton on the Riverwalk. This is a rare event for us to get away from the carpet crawler. Recognizing it's going to be Satan hot, are there any decent places on the RW? Italian, seafood, Mexican, intercontinental are all ok.

Southtown is not far away. You could walk to some restaurants but will be hot. It's a quick Uber drive.

Hilton Canopy opened a few months ago in downtown. They have a restaurant on the Riverwalk and a bar on the third floor. Just a few some suggestions.

Not sure if it's fancy enough for an anniversary dinner but recommend at least having a night cap at Esquire Tavern on the riverwalk.

Other posters can probably recommend some good restaurants on the riverwalk but unfortunately most them are tourist traps.

Domingo was pretty legit for drinks and appetizers. We didn't have a full meal.

Upscale has been very good to us too.

Italian….Paesanos but not on the riverwalk. Uber to Lincoln Heights.
