In the SA area, who do you all recommend for companies which will protest your property taxes for you?

I used to do do them in Dallas and Bexar county, but have used Ryan below for 2yrs, not a lot of savings so far, but some on my Dads.
We are in Atascosa, which is apparently tougher. Before finding him, others were not taking new clients. Interested to see results and who others use.

I've used Mike Edwards at Veltman for the last couple of years...Seems like a good guy and they have reduced my assessment each year.

Just curious, any reason why you aren't just submitting the protest yourself? I've had a lot of success just getting comps from our realtor and using those as evidence for the submission. Never used a service, although their fees are not outrageous, it's still money you could be keeping potentially.

I use Steevens & Williamson. They charge a flat rate of $250 per property. https://steevensandwilliamson.com/

Same here. I've always had success and unless someone owns multiple, very valuable residential or commercial properties, it's just not worth it to hire someone. The last couple years I was super busy and just said F it and didn't submit any evidence and they still lowered it to my requested amount.

I am using one for the first time this year. My hypothesis is that services know the "jargon" to use and they also know what is the maximum amount of reduction that they can get. I simply don't have enough exposure to all of the appraiser offices that we deal with to have this knowledge. I will let you know what I find.
Thank you

I've always done it myself and have typically been able to reduce it down to half of what they are asking for. Whether that is decent or not, I don't know. But it still keeps it from skyrocketing like they are doing.
