Yep, the truth is that there are no all-white outfits in the Corps. For example, E-1 has 14 cadets self-reported as non-white.
Is it true that Spider D is getting integrated this fall?

But why? There are many things about the way A&M and the Corps started that we no longer do, why specifically choose keeping units all male as a way of staying connected with history? I think saying all units have to be integrated because the military is all becoming integrated is kind of silly considering more people don't commission than do, so for those people it's something different/more than military preparation. I joined the military, but I didn't come in for that reason, I came in for the friends, and preferred an all male outfit. I worked with females plenty in the corps and in ROTC, and think I work just fine with women in the workplace now.
Agree with Barnes. The Corps is a fraternal organization, you should be able to chose which experience you get. Why isn't there any push to integrate the Greek organizations? It's stupid to force the issue when there plenty of choices for all types of students......

STEM refers to Science and Math. So it looks like D-1 will be focusing on those disciplines, which is great. Good for them. At least in my opinion. It is not my outfit but I always wish young men and women success in whatever future careers are.
I wasn't excited about my outfit becoming integrated, or a frog outfit, but at the end of the day, I am glad I get to see my outfit large and active when I visit campus.

Haha no I was not the Wag corporal, but as the recruiting guy that worked desperately to try and get his outfit fish, only to have none his zip year, It puts things in a bit of perspective.
Did I like being in an all male outfit? Hell yes I did. We got away with a lot more, and it was good times. My buddies and I are close and for me that is the most important thing.
Being able to still see K-1, and to see it doing very well now makes me happy.

I'll be damned if my brass goes to a wag. I'm gonna make some calls, but the more I read about this, the dumber it is. STEM? Wags? Really? That is not anywhere near the culture of Spider D. We WERE an Agriculture outfit, with tons of Cav jocks, FDT, and of course all male. If the bulls want to make us some limp dick wag outfit then to hell with it. **** 'em- I want my spider brass retired.

Reading stuff like this makes me question the Corps I joined. Pretty disappointing.
Nobody here dislikes wags. We just think the corps should keep some non integrated units.
If Spider D is going to get integrated, that is complete bull crap. There should be all male outfits, all female outfits, and mixed outfits. Whoever is force integrating is robbing Spider D of their identity. You might as well take Reveille out of E-2 while you're at it, or make E-1 something other than the "Jocks." Is this PC? No...but who cares. Life sometimes isn't fair, nor does it need to be. Why must we please the 1%? Look at where the university went under President Murano. She was selected because she was a Hispanic female. I think she was one of the shortest presidents to serve, ever?

Well said sir. If they insist on forcing the integration I say the current guys change out everythig, make new signs, shirts, brass and anything else that says Spider D and just be D-1.
