Congrats La Fours!

Wow I didn't check the standings at all to the thread bracket group. My reward for 2nd is getting to buy/pack/ship the beer now. Didn't realize I was even close.

Headed to Boise next month for work. First time in ID. Any must hit spots/must have beers?

Oh, homie. I gotchu.

Barbarian Brewing is usually my go to. They've got a huge list and really hit on the wild ales and sours as well as the high abv stuff (not so much IPAs or traditional styles). They've been there a while and maybe have been passed up by some of the newer breweries, but they stay doing well and do styles other places aren't. I usually hit the one downtown because it's convenient.

Bert's Brewing has become a favorite of mine. Great beer across the board and a beautiful taproom. (You can combo that with Western Collective - which used to rock, but has been on a downward trajectory over the last couple of years)

Ruckus and Brown Beard are two other fantastic breweries down the road.

The two nicest tap rooms also have some of the best beer in Boise:
Loose Screw's location in downtown Meridian is awesome. And they have good food!
And the only Bruery location outside of California is just down the road off of 84. I'm sure they need no introduction.

I'll finish out my list with Mother Earth Tap Room in downtown Boise. It's a regular after-dinner stop for me due to convenience. Their hazies are great. They're pretty well distributed around town too.

There are a ton of breweries in Boise, but if you're looking to prioritize, I'd definitely start with those above.

Hops & Bottles is a great bottle shop. And Brewer's Haven is awesome - it's a homebrew store with a enormous bottle selection and is just kind of a hang out for local brewers. It's a really cool spot.

Try to stay downtown, it's such a walkable downtown with great food and drink.

The Wylder is my favorite restaurant in Idaho. It gets packed, so I always try to walk in a little early and get a spot at the bar. Go for the pizza - Half Honey Badger / Half Bronco with a fried egg on top is my order.

Coa de Jima is a top notch upscale (authentic) Mexican restaurant downtown. In general, Idaho can't do Mexican, but this is an exception. They have a cool sister restaurant called Barbacoa which has a great atmosphere, but Coa de Jima wins on food.

Tavolata is another terrific Italian restaurant, though it's part of a small chain.

The Warehouse Food Hall has some great spots. I usually grab KB's burritos or Neighbor Tim's barbecue for lunch when I'm down there. But I've eaten most places in there and they're all good.

You'll also need to walk around the Basque District. It's got an interesting history and a collection of authentic Basque restaurants. Bar Gernika is a low key spot for dinner. The Basque Center does paella on the patio on Wednesdays I believe. Check into it.

The Freak Alley Gallery is a street art alley that's a nice little stroll.

The Greenbelt along the Boise River is a brilliant spot for running or cycling. There are some really nice parks along the greenbelt.

Anyone seen Lagunitas Waldo in Houston? I try and stock up every year, but haven't found any yet.

I rotated it to normal. Might need a refill with the 7:30 start time. I was on time. Had to throw a West Coast Pilsner in there for the delay.

This is the latest news…."The 2026 release of Lagunitas Waldos' Special Ale is a highly limited, brewery-only drop in Petaluma, featuring a release party on Saturday, 4/11 (128pm). The event includes 16oz 4-packs, stoner food, and live music, with early reports suggesting it may not be distributed in stores this year. "

If anyone is super interested in Waldo's hit me up ASAP and I can see about trying to mule some for you.

Such a fantastic beer. Decent chance I'm gonna be out in Monterey for work in a couple weeks. Might have to make a run up there.

The Capitola brewery is closer to Monterrey, but the Santa Cruz taproom has great Detroit style pizza.

Fridays are new release day at Pinthouse, this is called In The Loop and is good.
