Any beers I should be on the lookout for in Phoenix? I'll be there in a couple weeks for science fair. Doubt I'll be drinking anything there but I can usually sneak some beers home.
Almost through my entire treehouse stash. Need to figure out another reason to get back up to Lincoln labs for another work trip ASAP
Staying in Antwerp a few nights on our work/vaca eurotrip. Just grabbed a few cheap local brews for the evening at the Carrefour express down the street.

That's a damn shame, one of my favorites as well. Always tried to get down there whenever I was in town. A bit surprised they didn't try and relocate closer to Johnson, it's my understanding that it was owned by NASA folks who presumably live down there. I'm sure the rent would've been a lot cheaper.
I thought I read they were still brewing beer and selling it at a restaurant concept they're opening in oak forest?

Stopped by Cantillon. The guided tour was great and the subsequent bottle share among folks around the world was next level!

I'm not really sure and I forgot to ask the tour guide. ChatGPT thinks maybe a collab or just decided to be unique with that barrel. Everything there felt so old world.

Headed to College Station early next week for work. Been a while (probably around a decade) since I've been to town. Gonna have a coworker with me and want to show him around town. Any new spots, beer or food, I should highlight? We're going to be staying at the Hilton.

For breweries you have Blackwater Draw and Kinder Hill, both in Bryan. Carneys has a good beer selection and think there are a couple bars at northgate with decent selection of beers on tap. Use to be a Voodoo brewing franchise at northgate but it closed recently.

Opened up a can of Deep Ellum Dream Crusher DIPA and it's sour. Any issues with drinking it? If it was labeled as a sour I wouldn't think anything of the flavor. The flavor isn't bad really, just obviously not as intended.
I would pass on it. Life's too short to put yourself through infected beer.
When I lived in Dallas I remember Dream Crusher being a good one I went back to a few times. Been over a decade though!
Speaking of double IPAs, I opened up this DIPA today. Normally doubles are not my jam but got it for free. This one was stellar. So bright and so smooth for 8.2%. Dangerous one for sure! Would have again.

Reach out to them. Most breweries (that aren't ****ty… *cough* 512) want to know about stuff like this. I got a can from Oskar Blues that was way off and I reached out to them. They were able to track down the bad batch and sent me a bunch of swag.Quincey P. Morris said:

I'll shoot them an email or DM. The batch was only from October which isn't exactly new, but shouldn't have been like that. I'd also already had a beer from that six pack that was perfectly fine.
Hate to hear that. Was one of my go-tos when I was working in Houston for 9 months during COVID.
I think they've hinted at maybe having something in the works, but having to close your doors at all definitely makes it harder to accomplish.

Beer menu on Saturday at Kinder Hill. The cucumber saison and orange sour were personal favorites.
Looks like they're opening an 11 Below branded taproom at B52 and doing some other renovations. 11 Below has had stuff on tap since the merger, but this seems to be 2 spaces at the same site.
Surprised to see some money going into this. That space has quieted down a lot in recent years.
