It's Official: E.H. Taylor Is Now Part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection
- E.H. Taylor Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon is joining the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) for the first time in fall 2025, marking the lineup's first expansion since its inception in 2006.
- The addition honors Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr., a foundational figure in bourbon history who helped establish the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, America's first consumer protection law.
- The new BTAC entry will be 100 proof, aged longer than the standard E.H. Taylor Small Batch, and built on Buffalo Trace's low-rye mash bill, though final tasting notes and age details remain under wraps.
I have one that I haven't cracked yet. Who had it in Austin?flintdragon said:
Picked up a Smokeye Hill Barrel Proof. Any thoughts? Has some history vs GTS I've heard. Haven't seen it in Austin until now.
Specs Arborwalk. They had several bottles of the barrel proof as well as lower proof. First time I've seen either.Dr. Teeth said:I have one that I haven't cracked yet. Who had it in Austin?flintdragon said:

reading maybe the earlier bottles are better than the recent batches. Could they be a one hit wonder?AgCzar said:
I really enjoyed it. Kind of like Stagg but trade the cherry note for a blurry toaster strudel filling note. Not better than Stagg but very similar and worth the buy imo.
