I got it at a Specs in Houston. It was not on the shelf though, had to ask for it.

Called all 3 Spec stores in CS on Saturday. All three told me the exact same thing. We got some yesterday and ran out this morning.

Spec's on Texas Avenue has Carl T Huber Starlight single barrel store picks on the shelf for like $60.

Specs had 3 on the shelf friday at around 730pm.

I found some at a local store in Round Rock, $60 a bottle but I didn't have to run around to find it.
Nice little pick up here in South Texas.
I'm a fan. It's certainly not bold, but it is delicious.
On another note, my friend just had a casualty. I told him to run it through a coffee filter, but he's probably going to make it a drain pour.

I checked this thread a little late, and thought I'd missed all of the good stuff. But, I learned from here what a tater is, and committed myself to some tater behavior…
Went to multiple stores, and found a bottle of Eagle Rare, Blanton's, couple of EHT small batch, and a couple of bottles of Booker's Small Batch (for home and ranch). I think I'm set for a while!
(Also got a couple of bottles of green chartreuse, which I hadn't seen in a store in a long time)

Imo, this stuff is just ok. It must be recency bias for all the online hubbub bc I'm not finding anything great about this.
A 100 proof wheater that doesn't seem to garner any extra depth from its age statement.
IMO, MM Cask Strength is a better bottle if you like the wheated profile with some proof. Larceny BP as well.

I completely disagree with this. It's a steal of a bottle at $50 and better than any MM not named Cellar Aged.
I opened my OF9 and it was good. Real good. At MSRP, I'd say great.

We def all have different palates. Maybe mine was off tonight. I'll give it another whirl. It's not bad, not at all. And a MSRP, it's a nice bottle to have. But I just don't find it to do anything special in the wheater world, given its proof point and age statement that, again IMO only, doesn't come thru. In my experience, age adds depth of profile and length to the finish. Maybe 7 years is just a bit too young to impart enough oomph.

Only Drams says $43. I would be surprised if you could get it anywhere for that price.
