I'm just dropping in to once again promote picking up one of the Rio Brazos wheaters that's on the shelf at the Spec's on Texas Ave in College Station.

It's been one of my favorite finds this calendar year. I picked one up back in February because the guy stocking the shelves told me he'd let me have an Old Forester 1924s that was in the back if I purchased one. Bought my second bottle of it late last week, and it's fantastic.

cracked open the Smokeye Hill and the ER barrel select. Both were tasty in their own way.

I really liked the Smokeye. The high proof doesn't really bother my dull taste buds. Several couldn't handle it but it tasted very good to me.

I wonder where that's coming from. I've been in Bardstown the last week plus and visited Heaven Hill and Evan Williams. Heard about this, but it's not in either location. You'd think that's where it would start "distribution".

Stopped by a specs over lunch and there was plenty of EHT SmB, ECBP C924 and others in the case. Also some stuff like Penelope Architect store picks sitting in there as well. Times are definitely changing.
