Have something functional that doesn't leak?
Thats what we've been using for a while now. Works great. No leak.GAC06 said:

We've had basically that for years except just a spout and no accessories. Pours oil, doesn't leak.

why not leave it in the bottle it came in?
If you use something like this, store it in a cupboard or area that is dark. OO, AO, etc. all oxidize and break down with light exposure. If you go through a lot and are constantly refilling it, probably not much of a big deal.GAC06 said:

I don't think anyone is implying this dispenser must be on the counter. You can still store in the pantry or wherever.schmellba99 said:GAC06 said:

I'm lazy, just keep it in the bottle it comes in when I buy it. I don't want more things cluttering up where I cook and eat than I already have.
Whatever floats your boat, can't say that is an issue at my house but we all do things different.62strat said:I don't think anyone is implying this dispenser must be on the counter. You can still store in the pantry or wherever.schmellba99 said:GAC06 said:

Buying in bulk is common for a lot of folks, and pouring a big half gallon+ size bottle of oil isn't always the most desirable, and inevitably, a large container of oil will get greasy if you continue to use it to pour.

And honestly...those cute littel bottles with the spouts and stuff are all designed to be out on the counter, and that is where 99.999% of those that own them keep them. Just going off of statistics here.
and the other 17% aren't even that accurate.Ezra Brooks said:

There's statistics for everything, didn't you know? 60% of the time it works every time.ATM9000 said:schmellba99 said:Whatever floats your boat, can't say that is an issue at my house but we all do things different.62strat said:I don't think anyone is implying this dispenser must be on the counter. Didn't realize there were statistics on where cute little bottles with spouts were kept.
