Team is struggling, but ...
**#1 team in town
**Final home game for Wade, Henry and other seniors
**Chance Wade could become A&M all time scoring leader

Need a full house ane and a crazy house on Tuesday.

As a younger Ag, I think the olds/alumni have done a good job this season. It's the students that I always worry about, and it never used to be that way. I know this team is struggling, but man the 12th man has to show up and rally these guys. They deserve it.

The x-factor in this question, is how does baseball's awful start impact the crowd size. If baseball was off to a good start, I think our fickle basketball fanbase would have already moved on.

I hope there is a good crowd, despite the losing streak. This group deserves a good Senior day. Lots of good memories over the last 4/5 years with this group.

If you come it is to show respect to the seniors and the small chance of a very surprising win.

Just recognize that this Auburn team has showed no weaknesses or ever any sign of a 'let down' and has an elite defense combined with one of the most efficient offenses in several years. So the highly likely outcome is a comfortable win by Auburn by double digits.

It is sports and any thing can happen yada yada but there is almost nothing to grasp on to here for optimism given the glaring flaws and current slump of A&M but even more importantly simply how dominant and consistent Auburn has been.

Maybe the team will at least be able to salvage a 5-seed in NCAAT after hopes of a 2-seed just 2 weeks ago, by winning @LSU though coming into that one on a 5 game skid (presumably) will be a very dicey road game to avoid ending on a six game losing streak.

It's the last game of the year against the #1 team, this will be a good crowd. If anything I think this game being when it is hurt the attendance at last weeks game, for the olds anyway.

If Reed is not full for THESE seniors on their Senior Day, we do not deserve to have a great basketball team ever.

100%

You can be disappointed with 2 weeks performance against elite competition if you want but that doesn't change what this group has done, after missing in 4 straight seasons we are going to the tournament for the 3rd straight year, and clearly should have been 4/4 when they were the NIT runners up and won 27 games as freshmen.

High character guys that righted this ship in the nick of time and bought in and worked their ass off for 4 years. Regardless of this seasons end result this was a special group.

If I was Buzz I'd leave mainly because our fans in general totally suck. They don't support the team in any way but they come out of the woodwork like roaches whenever there is a rough patch. Before the season there was about 15 people posting here but now we have these "passionate" dick heads that have watched maybe be a few games all season coming to spread their hate. There's so many people that didn't even show up on this board until we lost 3 in a row. It's disgusting and disgraceful. The game threads are like toxic waste dumps full of posts from people that only post when we are losing. Tearing down players and coaches alike with self proclaimed basketball knowledge, But when we win these people are nowhere to be found. In this respect, from looking at other schools message boards and fan blogs, we probably have one of, if not, the worst ratio of good fans to awful fans. Even the baseball forum had a lynch mob going the other night. The idea that we have the best fanbase is absurd. As much as I hate to say it… Mark Turgeon was right.

A bit too fatalistic and negative for my taste. Auburn has nothing to play for and we get them at home on senior night, and Buzz has fared well vs Pearl. I think we have a legit shot.

And I think we win at LSU regardless.

This current set of students has been really disappointing. Was never like this when we had ranked teams in previous year. It would always be packed for big matchups like this with a line out the door.

WGAF?

Let's see if any other fan base for a top 15 ranked team fails to sell out (or come within, say, 5% of capacity) for Senior Day this week.

lol, we had no problem getting G. Rollie full for big games, just made cleaning up the court from all the thrown battalions take a little longer.

I guess it depends on how old your father is. I went to many games at G Rollie where it was me and a handful of other people in attendance. I still couldnt win the paper airplane contest even though the crowd was scarce

One way FOR SURE to boost student attendance is to complain about it on a message board that maybe 3 of them frequent.

If you can't do that, a close second may be to talk to any students that you know, even if they don't like basketball, and try to get them to the game. Make it easier for them. Offer to buy them an overpriced hotdog and pepsi product. Pass your love of the sport on to the next generation.

I played many a game in the FTAB at G Rollie, sometimes we'd take the entire band so we double attendance. This notion that G rollie was always full is hilarious.

I don't think OP was complaining. He was just curious how attendance would be.

The funny thing is that we actually do have a 6th man in our history.

Chris Walker is a true 6th man.

Well during my day here were the average attendance numbers - granted this was at the "Holler House" - when we camped out for a few games and oftentimes feared the fire marshal:

1978 - 5,043
1979 - 5,966
1980 - 5,528
1981 - 6,141

I didn't think he was. I wasn't trying to call him out, although I see how it looks that way.

I intended to call out the posters from the other hundred or so threads crying about why there aren't more students in the stands, then leave it at that.

It's not the students fault. It's Buzz fault, period. His teams are a beat down to follow, exhausting win or lose. He needs to fix his brand, but he won't and everyone knows that by now.
