I'd like to see that last play changed to a flagrant foul next year. If we're gonna call every minor hook and hold then diving under a player with not chance at the ball should be an upgradable foul too.

Seth Davis may have a point re: 16 v 16 in play ins but I'd like to hear that confirmed or not from the coaches of those teams on if they like being involved in the games. The win feels like a half tourney win to me and not legit but maybe those teams and coaches like a better chance to earn a "tournament" win.

Also don't ask it pre or post game. Ask em 6 months later.

Now that the coach of the team that got bounced took the Indiana job, I wonder if there was some shenanigans so he could immediately start recruiting at Indiana and get some transfers before anyone else.

I have less of a problem with unc making it than I do Texas. At least unc scheduled tough ooc and lost to really good teams. Texas 2-5 vs quad 2 I can't get over. Unc didn't beat great teams but they consistently dominated the next tier down.

They pretty much ignored all the metrics. Poor non-conference schedule, not a great record in Quad 2, they were erratic during the season. The only thing they had going for them is 7 Quad 1 wins.

It was bizarre how they got in.

The committee has always valued big wins over dinging bad losses. The year were a five seed and Baylor was a 3, BU had worse losses but beat tu 3x. We went 1-1 vs tu. They got a free run to the elite 8 and we got Purdue.

Shooting 78% from 3. Can't make this up.

Agree. I had UNC in. I had Texas as the third team out. For them to be 41 was way off both of our predictions.

I always come back to that ridiculous Rutgers team that got in. They had some flat out embarrassing losses and their metrics were terrible but they scored some big wins

UNC dominating this match up. Thought SD State would keep this close. Even took SD State +4. Yikes!

Getting to legitimately have real haters even makes Hubert Davis a good coach. Probably the most effort they've had in preparation all season.

Feels like SDSU has way more than 10 turnovers

In actuality, SDSU didn't look great all season. They peaked early in Vegas when they beat Creighton and Houston. They also beat UC San Diego early in the seaso - who turned out to be decent this year.

But they were really never in the Mountain West Conference race - and their offense often disappeared.

So, not shocked that they were blown out - though perhaps shocked it was UNC that did it.

Yeah, I'm a UNC grad. Let's see...they have the ACC returning player of the year (Davis, basically their Wade Taylor), and three 5 stars (Cadeau, Jackson, Powell). They underachieved all season long in turn-overs, half court offense, and rebounding. The guards are extremely quick, and they get out in transition after a miss with lightning speed. They lack the size needed to have the traditional UNC rebounding, but they've had second weekend talent all season. They have been unwatchable at times, but they have played like a tournament team the past month. It's not their fault that all the teams they've been destroying are Q2.

And the Q1 stuff is overblown. They lost to Kansas when they were #1. Duke 3 times. Mich State. Florida. Auburn. Alabama. And even though the SEC went 14-2 in the ACC challenge, the two SEC teams that lost were Auburn and Kentucky. So the ACC was very top heavy, which made UNC's losses against Louisville and Clemson understandable. They just had very few games against second tier Q1 teams.

I hope they run Ole Miss off the floor. Can't stand that school anymore, and would love to silence the Beard lovers on here.

I agree however I'm trying to figure out if I should switch my bracket in my office tournament as I had Ole Miss making a run to the sweet 16 but am now second guessing it with how well UNC played tonight.
