Definitely not Kmart.Iraq2xVeteran said:
It was great to watch Xavier defeat Texas 86-80 to eliminate them from the NCAA tournament. After Texas led Xavier 34-21 with 7:15 left in the first half, Xavier outscored Texas 65-46, including 47-33 in the second half.

Maybe Schloss can take over their basketball team as well?

They are going after Drew or McCasland first. I'd love for them to take another coach from Tech. They'd burn Austin to the ground.cutter said:

I saw some rumors the other day about Sean Miller.bobinator said:cutter said:

Would be a fascinating search. Almost nobody would surprise me outside of the hall of famers and some of the really established coaches.

Dont think it will happen but I can see them making a run at Kelvin Sampson. That would be scary

Now……..how do we manage to get through tomorrow???
Sure, you get that from reading a list, but Clemson and Louisvile were 36-4 in the ACC, only losing to each other or Duke. Kansas was #1 when UNC played them. UCLA was ranked. We're really talking about Wake Forest and Pitt.Faustus said:94chem said:Fanatic15...Drs2B! said:
Anybody watch much Tarheel basketball this year?
How come they couldn't beat any decent teams all year?
The look pretty athletic and talented tonight.
Of course, any team that makes 7/9 three-point shots in the first half probably looks good.
(I sincerely hope Yale doesn't do that to us!)
Yeah, I'm a UNC grad. Let's see...they have the ACC returning player of the year (Davis, basically their Wade Taylor), and three 5 stars (Cadeau, Jackson, Powell). They underachieved all season long in turn-overs, half court offense, and rebounding. The guards are extremely quick, and they get out in transition after a miss with lightning speed. They lack the size needed to have the traditional UNC rebounding, but they've had second weekend talent all season. They have been unwatchable at times, but they have played like a tournament team the past month. It's not their fault that all the teams they've been destroying are Q2.
And the Q1 stuff is overblown. They lost to Kansas when they were #1. Duke 3 times. Mich State. Florida. Auburn. Alabama. And even though the SEC went 14-2 in the ACC challenge, the two SEC teams that lost were Auburn and Kentucky. So the ACC was very top heavy, which made UNC's losses against Louisville and Clemson understandable. They just had very few games against second tier Q1 teams.
Louisville, Pitt, Clemson, Kansas, and Wake Forest were all Quad 1 losses for UNC.

Those along with UCLA strike me as fairly Tier 2 Quad 1 games. So just under half of UNC's Quad 1 games were against the second tier. Finishing 2nd and 3rd in the ACC was good for a 5th and 8th seed, so within one seed line of A&M, Ole Miss, Mizzou, Miss. State, Georgia and OU.

People see it with Louisville because they are a blueblood.gougler08 said:
Agree that Louisville was vastly underseeded
Way too much talent to not play better. Barnes got burned out coaching one-and-dones. Even Roy Williams couldn't deal with it. His great teams were always built on 3rd and 4th year players.Faustus said:
Well the game sucked, but at least Terry didn't get one or two wins and prolong the misery. Next year's team was going to be worse with him at the helm, nothing in the pipeline, and transfers aware he was on the hot seat.
Time to start fresh.
