Agree. UNC was playing an inferior team with a huge chip on their shoulder last night.
Ole Miss will dominate the glass. Unless UNC shoots a high percentage like they did last night (14/24 from three-point range - almost 60%) i think the SEC team knocks out the ACC team in the first round.

I have less of a problem with unc making it than I do Texas. At least unc scheduled tough ooc and lost to really good teams. Texas 2-5 vs quad 2 I can't get over. Unc didn't beat great teams but they consistently dominated the next tier down.
3-5 vs Quad 2 and 7 wins over teams Dancing in Quad 1 (7-10 in Quad 1). UNC beat one team in the field, and managed one Quad 1 win in 13 games. UNC also had 5 more Quad 3-4 games than Texas, one of which it lost.

UT was clearly ahead of UNC despite some of the advanced metrics. Of course Xavier will probably easily dispatch the Horns.

Yeah, I'm a UNC grad. Let's see...they have the ACC returning player of the year (Davis, basically their Wade Taylor), and three 5 stars (Cadeau, Jackson, Powell). They underachieved all season long in turn-overs, half court offense, and rebounding. The guards are extremely quick, and they get out in transition after a miss with lightning speed. They lack the size needed to have the traditional UNC rebounding, but they've had second weekend talent all season. They have been unwatchable at times, but they have played like a tournament team the past month. It's not their fault that all the teams they've been destroying are Q2.
And the Q1 stuff is overblown. They lost to Kansas when they were #1. Duke 3 times. Mich State. Florida. Auburn. Alabama. And even though the SEC went 14-2 in the ACC challenge, the two SEC teams that lost were Auburn and Kentucky. So the ACC was very top heavy, which made UNC's losses against Louisville and Clemson understandable. They just had very few games against second tier Q1 teams.
Louisville, Pitt, Clemson, Kansas, and Wake Forest were all Quad 1 losses for UNC.

Those along with UCLA strike me as fairly Tier 2 Quad 1 games. So just under half of UNC's Quad 1 games were against the second tier. Finishing 2nd and 3rd in the ACC was good for a 5th and 8th seed, so within one seed line of A&M, Ole Miss, Mizzou, Miss. State, Georgia and OU.
UNC beating SDSU soundly is not surprising,

This is that time of year that I'm reminded that college kids really can't shoot. Watching A&M desensitizes you a little bit, but it's always fun when the loudest thing in the gym is a brick coming off the rim.
