First off, I am a Buzz fan who has defended him in most instances and told many to give him a chance when times were glum early on around COVID etc.

Second, to distract the entire team with a supposed "death threat" and "racial slur" during a potential historic tournament run was just horrendous timing. Idiotic! In the modern day era of social media this sort of thing happens daily and for all we know it was nothing more than a troll from another school until someone proves otherwise! I still have serious doubts a real Aggie would do such a thing. As a Buzz fan, i have seen enough. Let''s move on. As a realist, I'm afraid we just witnessed his ceiling. Mediocrity

Out the idiots. Tell us / show us the account instead of slurring our entire fanbase. It was kind of a low blow to see that national headline given the insane overwhelming majority of good people among our fanbase. I would put our fanbase up against anyone else's. And of course there are idiots and insane people everywhere, but out the those individuals directly that are fools with a dark heart and don't lump us together as simply Aggie fans.

100%! There are also no doubt a hand full of idiots in our fanbase. I still seriously doubt the timing of the "death threats and racial slurs" to be an Aggie. Probably a tu troll

"We still want to do well in the NCAA Tournament, but I would not suggest, nor do I feel as a coach, that it should all be based on the postseason."

Then he drops the racial garbage day before the game as well.

Which is what he said he did. He said 2 players had brought it to him this week. And that they shouldn't be having to deal with it, but they do.

Unless it's about injuries, Buzz is gonna answer a question he gets asked, which he did, and use a platform about how the world should be a better place.

It did not "create distractions", as all he did was explain what his players were dealing with already in 2025, and how he was working through it with them.

You think they suddenly found out on Thursday that they were receiving death threats and racial slurs? Obviously not. You think Buzz acknowledging that they had (having their backs that they shouldn't have to deal with if, but do) created a new "distraction" that didn't already exist to whatever minor level that should be ignored it did?

The only distraction it created was with pissy msg board posters who didn't like a headline.

Yeah this whole "distraction" thing is super over-blown. There was nothing from the players yesterday that screamed "distracted". Every player either played like he had all season or played better than what'd seen recently (Payne, Manny).

All you have to say is we don't know the details yet and we are looking into it. Personally, I have seen ZERO evidence that leads me to believe it was an Aggie. Probably a tsip troll! Buzz elaborated saying we thought they were on our side cheering for us. Sounds like he's jumping to conclusions rather quickly or maybe he really is looking for an excuse to leave.

I think it's been happening all year.
Jace made mention of it, but followed saying it wasn't a team distraction, it was just BS having to hear it.

Buzz essentially said same thing. Almost proud of how it's not been a distraction, but still that it's BS to be happening

Exactly. Meanwhile Calipari said the SEC tournament doesn't matter before it even started because it's all about the dance and look how that's worked out for them.

I made this exact post before tip off and said we'd lose as a result, and our allegedly adult fan base absolutely lost their minds, labeled me a sip troll, told me they hated me, wanted to fight me, etc. Then of course, staff deleted the thread as it hurt a bunch of feelings, only for me to be proved exactly right, once again. Sunshine pumping has absolutely ruined Texas A&M.

We didn't play distracted.
We had the lead at halftime and a 10 point lead with about 10 minutes left if I believe.

We got out coached from that point on in my opinion.
I still cannot figure out our rotations but I am sure they have something to do with statistics then what we are witnessing on the court.

I questioned where Jace was getting this from without realizing I have been wise to avoid comments sections on social media posts. I made the mistake of looking at the comments on a post from aggiembk on instagram about the game. Check out the hidden comments on some of their recent posts and realize that there were worse comments removed by instagram. That's just one social media platform

How many games did we lose this season bc we went on 5, 6, or 8 minute droughts?

All the ones we lost. Which is exactly what happened yesterday.

Was the team "distracted" during those games? No.

Buzz is just bad at offense and personnel. It had nothing to do with comments made in the media.

So no, you were not "exactly correct".

What did I defend? That Buzz is horrible at offense, makes head scratching roster changes, can't draw up an inbounds play at the most crucial moments, can't get a team to shoot free throws, and for many games longer than your troll account has existed, consistently had absurd scoring droughts?

That's talking basketball. None of which surprised anyone yesterday.

Comments in the media had nothing to do with anything. Troll.

I'm glad that you're at least acknowledging that patting yourself on the back for being right about something you can't actually prove you were right on is a bit silly.

Nothing you saw last night was out of the ordinary for this team. Any claim that they lost because they were "distracted" is downright idiotic.

There's a dozen reasons to feel like Buzz isn't "the guy" here - but claims that they were playing distracted yesterday is just lazy.

I think Buzz could have easily said we are focused on this game and don't want any distractions. Instead he elaborated on the subject. Why? What good did it do? Whether it is too much praise or too much criticism, Saban always called it rat poison. Ignore the noise and stay focused on the task at hand. It's as simple as that.

What bad did it do? You won't answer that question, other than that YOU message board poster, didn't like the headline.

If you actually listened to Buzz's answer, it's not like these guys haven't been dealing with various forms of it for months. And if you know how a team works, would know they have been talking about it.

So what- you think any player went "oh sht, I didn't know about this before, I'm no longer focused on basketball."?

Or- a player talked about his experience, AND THEN HEARD HIS COACH HAVE HIS BACK? (Opposite of a distraction)

Some of ya'll have never been in a locker room and it shows.

There's a big difference between "what good did it do?" and "it caused a distraction".

What good did it do? Aside from endearing himself to his players and maybe some future recruits, not much. And in the grand scheme of thing I doubt that *really* matters. But if you're shocked that Buzz rambled on about something that it doesn't really do any good to ramble about, then you haven't watched much Aggie Basketball.

And you also haven't watched much Aggie Basketball if you think the performance last night was a "distracted" performance. All of our players either played like they have shown much of the season, or played better than what they showed most of the season (Payne).

Saying the players played distracted is a downright dumb, lazy and embarrassing take.

Let me see if I understand the theory of this thread….

A&M has an 8-10 point lead with about 10 minutes to go in the second half….but then the players started thinking about this social media thing and got distracted, and that is why Michigan outplayed them those last 10 minutes?

Is that what this thread is about?
