The NCAA had set up the 2010 tournament to where Texas A&M would have played in Houston for the Sweet 16 and the Elite 8.safety guy said:
The Purdue one was tough. Their best player was out with an injury. We had a 10 point lead in the second half. Win that game and play Duke in Houston in the round of 16. But playing in front of a large "home" crowd did not help us against Memphis but would have been fun to go to.
The 2010 team was athletic enough, and big enough to have upset Duke in the Sweet 16.
That would have setup a match in the Elite 8 against Baylor in Houston.
A&M would have had the home court advantage against Baylor at the NRG Dome.
