Biggest problem with Lutz is he has a big buyout.
I think the big number being thrown about is if OK State fires him and has to buy out his contract. Granted, I haven't gotten into the weeds of his contract but I thought that was the case.

Quick take. I've known Samford's Athletic Director Martin Newton dating back to when we were young pups and he worked for Converse and he was providing me Converse gear. He knows basketball and is CM Newtons son. He took a leap of faith on Bucky hiring him directly from the high school ranks. That worked out wonderfully for them at Samford. I'm optimistic that he's going to be a winner for A&M. I know he can coach, and if he can get SEC caliber players to come to College Station, this could be a good thing for A&M and Bucky's brand of basketball.

I'll qualify by saying I have not seen Bucky's teams play that I can remember but on the Mean Streets podcast they seemed to indicate that it was a defense first system that does look to score quickly especially in transition.

They compared it to Oat's style which clearly is offense first but also compared it to Houston which is of course based first on defense and boards.
