Is everybody in the conference playing their 2 permanents and one rotating double opponent in both the first 3 saturday slots and last 3 saturday slots or is that just how it worked for us? Have they always done that and I never noticed?

No basketball/baseball double dip weekend(s) this year. The Texas game was the only shot, but the baseball team will be playing in a tournament in Arlington that weekend.

Does anyone know if that UCF date of Nov 14 is correct? Or just a guess.

That is correct just not official. Big question now is who we play to open the season. With moving the UCF game so late I'd bet the first game is not on opening night but a day or two later.

Our home/away SEC schedule is more balanced this year than last year. Last year, we started SEC play with 3 consecutive Saturday home games followed by 3 consecutive Saturday road games. Then, we played 2 consecutive Saturday home games before ending the season with 2 consecutive Saturday road games. I didn't like how we opened SEC play with a home game against Texas on 1/3 before winter break ended. I like how we play back-to-back Saturday road games just once this year: at Vanderbilt on 2/14 and at Oklahoma on 2/21. I love how our final two home games are against Texas and Kentucky, and the final Saturday home game is against Texas on 2/28, the penultimate Saturday of the regular season.

Home schedule this year is not good. I know we had a short window to put this together but Bakersfield? TSU? Playing a game in Fort Bend County. Playing games on Sundays? Don't the girls play on Sundays.

I'm hoping the weekday SEC home games are at 6:00 and not 8:00. I teach at Oak, so leaving campus at 3:00/3:10 puts me at Koppe Bridge around 4:30 and into Reed at 5:15 or so. I'm home by 9:30. An 8:00 start time puts me back at home by 11:20 roughly and I need to be on campus at 6:15 AM. I hate those non 6:00 games.

In my older age I prefer 6:00 too except for truly big games. The crowd is significantly more juiced for 8:00 tips than 6:00.

Yes, weekend women's basketball games are on Sundays. For example, the men's basketball team plays Texas at Moody Center on 1/17/26, and the women's basketball teams plays at the same place on 1/18/26. I understand that the football team plays at LSU on 10/25, but I don't like how an exhibition game is scheduled in Fort Bend County on 10/26 because the San Francisco 49ers at Houston Texans game is the same day. It would have been better to schedule that exhibition game on 11/1 because the football team will have their second bye week. The Houston Texans play 3 consecutive home games against the 49ers on 10/26, Broncos on 11/2, and the Jaguars on 11/9.

I'm baffled by Arizona State playing this game. I go to some of their games and no one I've talked to has any idea.

They're flying 3 hours to scrimmage. That makes no sense to me.

Did we ever do a Shelby Metcalf Classic? Have had season tickets 89-90 but don't remember that?

If I remember correctly it was only one year. Think Billy Clyde's last year. It was great fun for someone like me who will watch basketball no matter who's playing. Aggies played the second game each night. Friday Saturday and Sunday night with a game right before.
