What a wild result for Texas.

Absolutely classic Jimmy Dykes to say he doesn't necessarily want his best shooter he wants his toughest guy at the line.

Who thought Bama would be 1-2 and we'd be 3-0 at this point?
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

That's gotta be one of the more unexpected results of the year for me

Like most Ags, I can (absolutely) never root for Texas but this is a big (and surprising) win for them. Rivals and perhaps eclipses the Auburn win over Arkansas since the game was at Alabama.

Jimmy Dykes is tough to listen to. But I guess we should since he has hall of fame coaches that text him during the game.

It's extremely weird that you're hung up on that

t rounding into form or did Bama just choke? Bama missed layups and FTs when they could've taken a lead.

The most annoying think about Dykes is that he's almost extremely good at it. But then he gets caught up in whatever the coaches told him before the game and then every year he has some insane phrase that nobody has ever heard before that he acts like is a common ball phrase.

"That's a bunker shot. We call those bunker shots. You know what? It's not because of golf, it's because it's a shot so bad it makes the coach want to go hide in a bunker."

Felt like that was a one-off game for Texas paired with bad basketball by Bama for their standards

I dunno, if I were Sean Miller I'd think about playing more wide open basketball. That's not normally his deal but they looked good at it tonight. Bama looked soft in this game.

It's absolutely ridiculous though because they've trailed by 16 points in 2 of their wins. One of them being the OU team we just beat today

Soft is pretty normal for bama under oats, no? Hopefully Agee feasts on the offensive boards when we play them

I find myself rooting for Nebraska, largely because of Fred Hoiberg (the former "Mayor of Ames"). He's had a fascinating coaching journey.

They play fast but I never thought of them as soft. In fact for a few years there they were the most likely team to get in a fight.

Yeah I agree with this. They're not afraid to mix it up. Part of what's separated them from some of the other tempo teams.

And, because it's fallen off the board. The final from Westwood UCLA 67-MD 55. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401825434

He may find himself the mayor of Lincoln before too long. He was born there, I think, and his grandfather was a Husker coach (or had some other tie to UNL).

I mean, they had an actual killer playing for them. It's pretty much the only thing tougher than a killer instinct.

Understand your post but am rooting for Hubert. Seems to be a quality person. They need someone other than Wilson and Veesaar to step it up. You'd think that would be Seth Trimble. Obviously, their 3 point woes have not been helped by Bogavac's regression (0-4, including 0-3 from three today). At any rate, 87-84 UNC final. Good win.

I like him, too. But the Carolina Way is kind of like Brazilian soccer. The way they play is as important as the results. They just have these unwatchable funks.

Agreed! But not near as "unwatchable" as Buzz Ball. It's still fundamentally Carolina basketball.

As a positive, it was refreshing to hear him trashing the current review/replay system throughout the game. That was awful last night.
