You haven't been watching if you think Mgbako is our best big man or our best overall player. I'll cut some slack since he was coming off of injury as to why he hadn't play up to expectations whether they were realistic or not. He was improving before the broken foot .

He had potential to perhaps be our best player

He mostly played like a long catch and shoot guard and had very little impact in the paint at all wrt rebounding or defense . It got better the last few games he played but it had a long way to go … imo. You're entitled to your opinion it just isn't what I saw.

I'm not saying he wouldn't have helped but Agee is by far our best big man.

Great win! 1-0 feels a lot better than. 0-1.

I love the win - get some SEC confidence. I do think this team needs some confidence (as a team) and some sec wins under their belt to feel like they can do this in league.


A bit concerning we struggled to beat this LSU team at home when they were missing their best player - of course we have no Mgbako either but still, I'm judging the team we have to face this conference Slate.


On the other hand, great to win when we shoot well below our average percentages across the board. Was it a bad shooting night, or was it due to playing a longer more athletic opponent than any we've faced in a while? I think a bit of both, we missed some clean looks.



My impression was the team put a lot of emphasis and effort into defending this large and around the rim LSU team, and that may have hurt our offense a bit. Just a thought.


We are in the gauntlet now. The SEC buzz saw. It's daunting.
