Yes, the refs called a sh**ty game. But the Aggies had every opportunity in the world to win it anyway and just blew it.
Can't put yourselves in a position where refs can affect the outcome of the game. Make your FTs
To me this is a dumb take. Of course you need to execute to increase your margin for error but that shouldn't have to be against systemic officiating bias down the stretch. Can the Aggs improve to finish these type of games? Yes! But don't excuse the inexcusable bias in officiating. That's just bad for the game.
We missed five free throws in the last three minutes. Lane and Pop... a 91% and 76% ft shooter who combined to go 2-7 in that stretch. That's brutal. Bucky continues to put the ball in those guys' hands down the stretch only for them to step up and brick when it matters.
Same story last game but luckily we pulled that out.
Yep hitting free throws down the stretch will definitely help give you more margin for error down the stretch in games and is definitely an area where the Aggs can improve. It doesn't excuse bad officiating though it just gives you more margin for error against it. Biased officiating is still inexcusable and bad for the game. Not sure why anyone would disagree with this
It was at Tennessee, with Rick Barnes on the other sideline. There was zero chance we were going to get any calls that mattered late. One of my buddies before the game said we would need to be up eight with a minute to go to win it because there would so much nonsense at the end. I think if you asked Bucky, he would've told you the same.
Complaining about getting homered at a game that was an obvious homer set up is just a waste of key strokes. At the end of the day, lane or pop make their free throws and that is a W.
