Blah, blah, blah, that's how we play... blah, blah, blah.

Agee is 5-for-32 (15%) from three in SEC play. Reminds me of Solo jacking threes for no apparent reason.

Context matters . If Agee is shooting 3's because it's the best shot available on a particular possession that's one thing. If he's shooting a 3 with 15 secs + left on the shot clock that's another thing.

No like my original post Agee has no business shooting threes . He is 0-5 and none have been close . Got it

So is Ruben. Should he stop shooting oh wise one?

Oops, Ruben just made one so he's 1/6 now. Can he shoot 3's next week?

The guy averaging 45% on the season?

I know he's our best 3 pt shooter, but it would be interesting to know what the shoots against quality opponents.

I thought his shot selection was odd on Saturday. He took a couple I didn't care for and then passed on some opportunities where I thought he had a good luck.

We were just all out of sorts on Saturday, so I'm not wasting time trying to analyze this too deeply. I think there was a combination of

Florida is good
size intidmidation
tightness
fatigue from Wednesday (physical AND mental)
just "due for a bad game" like every team.

Given that, the actual play and strategy is not too much concern for me.

Why does 2nd Generation Ag only start negative threads? It's just part of how they play the game.

It takes 3 generations to figure out how to do it.

Bobinator Agee is a good player but he is hurting the team shooting 3's. There is a reason no one is guarding him.

If Bucky thinks it's a good shot then I trust him that eventually he's going to know them down.

I do think right now he's caught between wanting to shoot them and not wanting to. He knows he's not hitting them, and he hesitates sometimes which is the worst thing he can do. Against Florida he took some where it looked like the entire thought process of "I'm not making these, but I'm open, and we're having trouble getting open anyway, so maybe I should, okay I'm gonna shoot it" was going through his head.

Either confidently shoot them in rhythm or stop shooting them.

The problem is he makes 1 then he misses 4. He should not shoot them and that's why he is open and allows the opponents to have an extra rebounder. I believe we score at least 50% less per possession when he shoots a 3. That's on Coach Bucky

Until he gets his guy in the air at the three point line and then slams it home with authority... That part was awesome...

I do recall Bucky saying in a postgame interview that he likes Agee's 3-point shot. Assume he is encouraging him to shoot. Not sure if that will change if Agee continues to struggle.

Separately, it would sure improve Agee's NBA prospects if he's seen as having outside shooting range. Seems most guys transferring for their last year of eligibility are understandably motivated as much or more by that than the 1 year NIL payout.

He's not a bad shooter. It's mental at thisbpoint.

Dude, do a little research. Agee can hold his own with 3s. The last 3 games he is 2-6, 2-4, and 1-3…..38%. I don't mind that at all.

Like previous poster said, it's just an off night shooting. Welcome to basketball

Yes, he's not the best on the team, but he's part of the plan. He wouldn't be doing it, if he wasn't told he could.

He's shooting under 21% for the season. That's bad.
I like the new style of play, but just because you run an offense with a lot of 3's being shot doesn't mean that everyone should be shooting them on a regular basis.

FOR THE WIN!

Once again, Bucky was right and he showed belief and trust in his player.

And having Agee out at perimter, guarded, opens up so many lanes. If they dont want to guard a guy shooting 38%, I'm fine with that.

He has a good stroke, and Bucky knows that.

Last year at USC, half his shots attempted were from 3pt, and he shot 39.1% for the season.
