Football is completely different than basketball. Arky BB NIL runs circles around us. Terrible BB marketing and the worst arena in the SEC. But I understand.. we are rich

That's my point! We have more overall money running through our athletic programs than Arkie, why not put more into BB from both a resource and an NIL perspective!?!? Everyone keeps correcting me that we don't spend as much in basketball, which is my point!

The basketball spending problem has been a concern before Bucky.

Isn't men's basketball getting the second most amount of dollars from the $20M revenue sharing?

I think it's less that the system itself got exposed more than better teams are better at finding our weak spots and exploiting them. And our weak spots have a lot more to do with personnel than scheme.

Our fouling has been a big problem also. Can't give a team like Arkansas 33 free throws and a lot of those were very dumb fouls, not aggressive fouls that you expect some of with our scheme.

Texas will tell us a little more. If it were a scheme problem that's been exposed you'd have expected OU to be much better against it the second time but our defensive efficiency was almost exactly the same. Actually slightly better.

I dunno if they're that undisciplined or if that was just part of their plan last night. We normally want to make the game chaotic but it was pretty clear they were better chaotic basketball than we were so they were perfectly fine just keeping the game frantic. We'll see how they do against Florida.

Btw I thought Cal took a really smart timeout to reset the ten second clock on a backcourt play in the second half. I think it was during that big run they had and they were going to have to inbound it again with only 4 seconds left so he took that timeout because he could feel how big that moment was.

I really hate that a timeout resets the 10 second clock.

IMO, after watching the entire game last night, I think we need to truly compliment the Hogs on both the talent and the overall speed, hustle and agility they displayed the entire game AND to likewise compliment their refs that made the final outcome of this game unavoidable. Despite the fact that the Hogs appeared to play their best, or one of their best, games this season at home against us, our Ags showed tremendous heart and effort to get back in a game where the refs definitly called everything almost totally against the Ags. If we match up against the hogs anywhere except in their home court (with these same refs), I believe that the Ags could quite possibly defeat this much more talented team.

We are at the bottom only because of height. And, yes, even height at guard positions. These guys were 7th ad 8th men on their teams not because of athleticism but height.

Any player who can't dunk is apparently unathletic these days. Exactly my point. That guy is athletic as hell, may have a 60" vertical jump (facetious), just no height. Was Spud Webb athletic?
