I'd rather play SC since beating a team for the 3rd time is tough. I realize the OU game helps us more but I also don't want OU to get in. F 'em

Why would beating OU at the point help us more? They suck.

CBS has nothing to do with selection and they surely don't care at all about Texas being in or out.

The tournament itself is so much bigger than any one team or game, they don't care about who is in/out or matchups. Texas isn't bringing any extra eyeballs than Lehigh.

You really believe that? I mean, logically they shouldn't but look at the way every media outlet fluffs them. They love their so called blue bloods in every sport and hoops is no exception. If any network thinks they can draw a dozen extra sets of eyeballs by inviting a "national brand" they'll let their voice be known to the committee.
Again keep in mind tu had ZERO business being in last year and still "somehow" got to Dayton. They actually have a better resume this year. I'll count them safely in

If the eyeballs for national brands mattered teams like Indiana and North Carolina, MUCH bigger basketball brands than Texas, wouldn't have narrowly missed the field in recent years.

Sips getting in last year and this year has nothing to do with beating us. LOL

Bless you for thinking it actually has anything to do with metrics or whatever.

But how would beating the tallest midget make a difference?

That's fair. I'd have to go back to the years they missed and see how "borderline bubble" they were. This year Indiana is 18-14 with an RPI sitting about 80 and a Kenpom I believe at 44. WAB at 0.17. IMO on wrong side of the bubble. If they make it in……..

Texas will still get in because all the other bubble teams are losing as well

So if you are in and lose but everyone behind you also loses, logic says those don't don't pass you up and you are still in

Logic, please. And you probably think Epstein killed himself and Oswald was the lone gunman.

This dumb post isn't aging well. OP wants Arch and tu to go to the natty game, so he can cheer against them. :/
