This is true. However they are being given more leeway for physical contact by the refs and it not even close. They shouldn't need the help of the refs but they are getting. It's not an accident that their coach was getting interviewed mid game.

All of their losses this year came in games where refs called a tight whistle.

They literally DEPEND on the refs.

The problem with letting them play and allowing a lot of physicality, you never know what fouls are going to be called.
