you knew that was the ceiling for buzz here. now there is hope. yeah, there were a couple of clunker games but I feel the overall season maximized the talent available.

Well Trev should be pulling all funds from WBB and baseball and put it into MBB. Hopefully the NIL donors do the same

This will be the earliest exit of our team the next 4-5 years. With Bucky.
I'm not one to talk, because I only went to like 2 games while in school. And I live 3 hours from BCS, so I don't go to games now.
But our wimpy fan base will hold the program back for the foreseeable future. We need the kind of student/fan support we had while BCG was here. Otherwise we will never compete for the players we need to rise up.

I'm very happy with this season and so full of hope for the future of Aggie basketball. Seems like most of us didn't think we would make it to the NIT before the season started.
What happened? We had tons of fans with BCG and even Turgeon.
Now, with one of the most fun teams we've had, we can't get anyone in the arena outside of against tu.

A&M has never had huge fan support in basketball, they had issues filling Reed then.

Nah, give Bucky a couple full recruiting/portal cycles and he will build a fan base that is passionate like bcg. Billy didn't have the type of support in his yr 1 that Bucky has had this season. It's a different world. Put a couple sweet sixteen/elite 8 seasons in a row and we will be just fine from a fan support standpoint.

We had good fans for big games with those guys. Both left because we have always had wimpy fans. And I'm saying that as a guy that probably went to 70-80 games in four years but haven't given a dime since. I'm probably more of a problem than the guy who went to none.
Imagine Bucky Ball with UofH talent.
We'll be fine as I said above this season will be the worst with Buckyball.

The Aggie contingent today was pathetic. What did we have? Maybe 200 people? I was shocked. I knew Nebraska would have the most but figured we'd have more than a few hundred. That worries me for keeping Bucky long term. Even cougar high had more than we did. I guess maybe we outdrew vandi. Maybe.
I noticed it was 95% Nebraska at my hotel and walking around but didn't think Houston would have a ton more than us when I got to the stadium.

We've never developed a fanbase
Inconsistent even during a good year like this. So we start to get students into it and first timers show up to be disappointed
We need an elite 8 or final 4 level run without home losses to cultivate a non basketball school to develop interest. This is year 4 in a row of making the tourney, which should be a given. Have to create the fans who havent existed before by winning big games and being fun all the time

The good thing about Bucky is he cares. He still has the fight to move up and get better. Buzz was just working on his brand. Bucky needs to add a lot more talent.

They didnt travel well at all. Their fan support was also pathetic. It was just better than our's.
Can't do it with 5th year portal seniors. Let me know when Bucky Ball starts landing 5* recruits. Until then. We are who we are…which isn't bad. Middle tier SEC one and done in the tourney. You see UH. That is athletic talent. Not a bunch of bets on 24 year olds. Same as the blue bloods like Duke and Michigan.

Also, what success has Nebraska had? None. And they have around 15k people here. This is the best atmosphere I've ever been to for a tourney game. So not having a ton of success lately is a bull**** excuse. Our fans just suck.

Bobinator was running the rowdies then. There are no Bobinators in the current student population.

A school with literally nothing else to support. Football sucks is dependent on wet blanket Weigman. Baseball sucks. All they have is basketball. And they still come up short.

What time? He was here 3 years. The first year was so crazy, EVERYONE was ecstatic we were actually in the NIT. Bucky is already a third of the way there.

Yep. I was in school then. The nit was insane. And then the tournament games were crazy with A&M fans traveling. Not sure why it's different now.

The fact that this has 5 stars shows we have a terrible basketball fan base. Obviously no one who starred this was at the game. Bc Houston had almost no one there. And we had less.
We'd be in the sweet 16 easily if we had the sip cupcake schedule. What a joke

I cannot follow what you're saying. We should compare A&M under a first year coach who was the last hire of college basketball to have a similar roster and record to Kelvin Sampson who has been at UH (1st year record 13-19) for 12 years?
