Apologies if this has been posted somewhere else already, please redirect me to that thread if so.

What are the board's thoughts on this proposed 5 in 5 rule? On the surface it seems like an absolute win for college sports, it certainly makes roster planning easier for coaches. It will certainly throw this year's sports portals into mayhem though, if it passes.

Do you see this as an advantage or disadvantage to Texas A&M in any way?

Any thoughts as to why the NCAA zeroed in on this 5 in 5, other than the Trump executive order? It makes me wonder if we are going to see a whole slew of similar rules passed aimed at other glaring eligibility issues.

For the legally inclined members of this board, does this have any chance of holding up in court?

I know this is a basketball thread, but how do you see this impacting the other sports?

There's a ton of directions to take this in, I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts.

i'd guess is it won't hold up in court, nothing else has, not sure why this would either

Its close to what my suggestion has been to fix the endless loopholes and waiver processes and court challenges by just saying that since this is just a professional league now, just make the requirement be only about age (ie a U24 league) or something similar, which is kinda what this almost is.

What about the juco issue pavia used to get extra eligibility?

Wont Playersstill argue they lost earning potential by having to go juco ?
