1. Texas A&M is a powerful school. We are rich, we have a great fan base, we have great facilities, and we have a HUGE location advantage in the State of Texas over the rest of the SEC teams. Since the State of Texas by far and away has the best high school recruits in the country, when we start dominating this state in recruiting, we will dominate college football. Yes, that includes your little SEC school. I don't care if Alabama has won eleventy billion NC's.

2. All we have been missing for a very long time is a decent head coach. Once RC started chasing skirts, he was done, and his record against tard high shows that. Then we hired Fran who was a waste, and then Sherman, who nobody in either college or NFL actually wanted and was bought on the cheap.

3. While it's true our current head coach was also bought on the cheap, it appears he can at least recruit. He's put together one of the best classes we've seen in a long, long time, and we are coming off of a 6-6 season.

4. If this guy can actually coach, you boys are in for something you are not expecting. Well, maybe some of you are, but it seems there are alot of folks that think A&M is going to get stomped year after year.

This year, and MAYBE next year will be your best shot at beating us. I'm sure that's why Florida wanted us THIS YEAR, and then won't see us for quite some time. As Jackie once said, get your licks in now, because once we reach our potential, we are going to put a serious ass kicking on the SEC.

Wow...settle down Beavis. When it comes to football, you've got a loooong way to go to approach Bama. Unlike a certain other school you guys are used to competing against (and not doing too well at over the years btw), we actually have walked the walk over the decades, and not just talked the talk. Win yourselves a few NCs, and then come talk to us about looking (and I mean looking, because you would still be a long way from approaching Bama) to approach us.

I guess when you read my post you were so focused on the blurb about the other team, that you missed the fact that it was thrown in as a caveat while I was expounding on Bama's accomplishments.

Let's get one thing straight in this thread, since the OP started it in a tone of bravado. Alabama is the face of southern football. We put southern football on the map back in 1926. Now we don't rule the SEC like tu does with whatever conference they are in. But we are quick to remind you that we have accomplished more in football than anyone other than Notre Dame (and one can make the argument that we've accomplish just as much, if not more than they have). We put southern football on the map, and you guys have a long way to go to catch up to us.

bama is closest hing to tu attitude in SEC. Had to set one of them at work straight about who the Aggies are.

hornhatinvol, I started trash talking in this thread because I thought the posters on this SEC board were tired of the SEC love fest and wanted to mix it up a little bit. Plus I thought that was what the OP intended (I've tried to keep from mixing it up this much over on the zoo, and I really am just joking around in this thread). I don't mind mixing it up and trash talking on a message board, but I draw the line at certain things. Taking a shot at the lives that were lost in the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa is one of them. Lives were actually lost and families devistated that day. Sorry, but that isn't cool in my book.

Now that I got the finger wagging out of the way, let's address your other points. I don't care what method you use to decide which NCs to count, we still have more than anyone else in the modern era (or at the very least, are tied with ND). If you only use the ones that ESPN recognizes (which I think is just in the AP era), we past ND this past year. And if I remember correctly, it wasn't until Bama integrated their football team, that the other SEC teams (yours included) decided to integrate theirs.

Belton Ag, my comment was in response to being called an arrogant bammer. If I'm an arrogant bammer, it's because the football program of the university that I support is without equal.
