When we saw him play, he was switch hitting. In fact, most of his at bats were from the right, with a couple from the left.

I went looking for evidence that Roa was called up (his family mentioned it on premium so I know it's true), but fair warning -- do not I repeat do not search his name on X. Someone with an identical name has some really vile stuff. You have been warned.

Thanks. I should add that I did eventually find proof but only after seeing something I could have done without. Bad christian roa account now blocked so I don't make that mistake again

Roa's debut makes 11 Aggies on a roster this season which is a record. He is also the 4th Aggie to make his debut; I need to check my list tomorrow, but that might be a record too.

2000 saw Wunsch, Blank, Beirne, and Tyner debut, so 2025 with Palisch, Garcia, Hoffman, and Roa tie that mark with 4 debuts in one season.

There have been 3 seasons with 3 debuts including last year.

Jackson Appel officially moved up to Birmingham Barons today. Looks like they'll get him a little time catching at the tail end of the season as the Barons go to the playoffs to prime him for next season.

BMonty and Appel back on the same roster for 2026, just like old times.


Also, it looks like Montgomery took a pitch to the foot and has a small fracture. He's on the 7 day injured list and will likely miss the Barons in the playoffs, but should be back at it for fall ball.

I live in Winston-Salem, and actually haven't been to a Charlotte Knights game yet. I am patiently waiting for them to make it there and will drive down with some local Ags to see them play.

It's been really fun to see some of my favorite players in the minors. Like getting bonus games away from Olsen. Also MiLB is very affordable, pretty good ball to watch, and if you go to a weeknight game with low attendance, it's easy to meet and chat with your favorite players.

After a less than optimal regular season he has come through for the Mermen so far this postseason. Tonight he goes six strong innings of two hit ball after giving up a leadoff dinger. He is in line for the W if Seattle can hang on to this narrow 2-1 lead in the 8th inning.
