This would be a positive if we get the Wake guy or OU guy. May not be the coach I want but I'm all in on any "**** you Scumbagle strategy. And yes, I would even cut off my nose to spite my face if necessary.

Interesting concept. Combo of Skip and Earley. I could get on board with that.

Damn...I am all over the place.

Prefer Heefner + Earley to be totally honest. Heefner will bring the much needed top pitching assistant. Seems the perfect world to me.

I see it as a good choice. Native Texan looking to get out of cro-magnonville. Established recruiting ties to the state. He and Early could probably get most of the current roster to at least seriously consider staying. Perhaps add an additional HYPER recruiter type to take the lsu-Cain guys spot.

If Early comes back Skip is a much more attractive addition. Pitching guy and Texas recruiter. Pitching guys rarely make great head coaches. If Early and Johnson are equal partners with the understanding that Early is going to be the guy in five years or less, this could work.

If only one of them, Early is the obvious choice. As close to a Vitello type hire as you can get. (Not current Vitello, the Vitello I wanted in 2019)

If silence is an indicator of Skip being the guy, then he isn't the guy because there have been several post with tweets stating he is the guy. Don't ask me on what thread I read them on because y'all are starting new threads for any thought the pops into your heads. It wouldn't surprise me if we had more new threads started since we learned POS was going to Austin then we had for the whole first half of the 2024 season.
