I think of something like Huntington Park 10k seater in the minors. $99 mil after adjusting for inflation so "somewhat" near our range. I think I heard Albert's talked about stress tests being done on the existing concrete right? If so that will help costs in the expansion if all is well. I could see aggie alley turning into something like they did here in right outfield but on our Left. The batting cages would have to move slightly eat up some parking lot space but they did talk about player enhancements too so I could see that working out. Just some thoughts.

But we're not building a new stadium.
Take UT for example. 95 M is taking them from A to B

I think it's safe to say this is a much larger scope since we already took care of much of the needs in our renovation ~12 years ago.
I responded to what you said. Which had nothing to do with us renovating.Farmer1906 said:

Keep the real grass!
The last plan I heard was they wanted to put a pavilion style roof (no walls) over it with a multipurpose turf field under it to be used by multiple sports. This would allow soccer to practice in bad weather. Softball could take infield in bad weather or in preparation for an away game at a turf field (potentially baseball too if they don't get their own indoor turf infield in this Olsen reno). Track could use it as a warm up/stretching area for meets (although that was before the indoor track was built right next door so maybe track wouldn't need that anymore as they might be able to do that in the indoor track).A-A Ron said:
Don't know if this is the best place to ask it but anyway; is there a plan to do anything with the old softball Facility? Is it used for anything anymore since DD replaced it? Talking about possibly losing some parking due to and expanded player facility for BBP, could you not (for now) remove that facility and put in a parking lot until they need that space for something else?
And bring back real grass behind home plate!annie88 said:

I didn't think the post needed a disclaimer, but I maybe I was wrong. In any case, it was said in jest. I think if you re-read it it should be pretty obvious ...

I wish we'd go ahead and announce that Populous is doing the work. Then maybe we'd start to see sketches. It isn't like anyone ever selects anyone else for this type of work.

I hear a lot of folks listing a complete concourse all the way around the field as a must have, but I don't understand why? Why is that a good thing? I don't think I have ever been to a park that I made an effort to walk the entire concourse.
Just wondering why this is something so many think is a must have. $80MM should get us a pretty sweet upgrade.

Don't block the tracks!
Elevate the tracks and move them over the fans in the outfield. Sheer terror wondering if the train will fall off the tracks.

Please, for the love of all things holy, do not put Crawford box style seating ANYWHERE in BBP. I love a ballpark with character but a "mini green monster" is just a terrible idea!

I think the entertainment will shift into guessing if the locomotive stack can muster the traction and horsepower to get the consist up the >50% grade.
The terror will be smelling the brakes burning up and listening to the wheel-slip as the whole thing slides down the other side.
