This could be a prime example of the karma that he so richly deserves.

Their baseball program is actually what they think their football program is. And the Sip **** is a very good coach. Will he be able to overcome the hit on his reputation (a hit that was self-inflicted)? I suppose that will be the first sign of the karma that he deserves coming, if he is unable to recruit players to his program.

Yes, I have thought this as well. They way he treats players in high pressure situations is probably a reason he has not won it all.
Win or lose from here on out it doesn't matter. The character of Jim Schlossnagel has been permanently established and recorded. tu will always be looking over their shoulder.

He's an excellent baseball coach and now has the Austin sex appeal to leverage. They will probably be a frequent visitor to Omaha. But can't stop hoping he never gets the ring.

BAS intrusive thought: what if he actually LEARNS from this situation and starts treating his players better? I guess what I'm saying is it could also back fire on our line of thinking. But I won't let myself believe he's capable of change, especially at his age.
He has been go Omaha 8 times. This was the first time he got to the 3-game C-ship series. Getting to Omaha and winning it all are completely different things.

Agreed, if any have watched Lucci's interview with Jace from yesterday, it's worth the watch and Jace even says it's time to move on, we've got Earley now and we can focus on that and the future now.Anonymous Source said:

I think what Schloss meant in his "congrats to coach Earley. They want to celebrate THAT team" is he knows this is a long game, not just 24-25 season. Texas is going to be plenty good real fast, people may as well accept that

Don't count on Texas baseball being great. UT is a different environment for Schloss (not TCU and A&M where fan base is forgiving). High profile coach moving to wrong environment doesn't guarantee success - look no further than Natty owning Jimbo.
Schloss could make Texas baseball great again but not a done deal.
As far as long term, the A&M play if it works out is a long term move. Success breeds success beyond 24-25 and Earley will be hitting his stride about the time Schloss is losing his coaching fastball.
