Cain is on a path to return to LSU in some capacity. Probably AHC.LOYAL AG said:W said:
Schloss had a great run at TCU from 2014 to 2017
but then his 2018 and 2019 clubs were not very good...33-23 and 34-28 respectively
so his style and approach doesn't work every year
It was brought up recently that those great TCU teams were in large part recruited by Vitello. The two great teams he had here were recruited by Cain. His success stems from having an ace recruiter on staff and it seems when he gets that hire wrong he struggles. At some point Cain will become a head coach so we'll see who he brings in as a replacement. Also be interesting to see if the swinging thing causes problems with future hires as the wives of younger coaches don't want their husbands around someone like him. Pretty my Mrs LOYAL AG wound object.
Probably, his success has come from picking his assisstant coaches !W said:

Mama comes calling and I'd be surprised if he didn't go. Even if it is a lateral move. I don't his relationship with Johnson though so no idea if he'd be asked.

This whole thing has become very public and has left a lot of egg on the UT baseballs coaches face.

Tony V left him though for ann assistant job.
So good he can identify solid coaches. Bad they don't want to stay with him.
Even though I'm not sure who else has besides TV and Earley is a head coach.

I think you guys are underestimating the struggle Slosh and tu will have playing SEC baseball next year. This tu team was no better than any of the 10 teams from the SEC that made the tourney and may have been worse than the others too.
I wouldn't be surprised if tu ends up 10-20 in SEC play and not a qualifier for post season. This will be a rough year that will have tu fans and actual tu graduates questioning their decision. First, they struggle enough in football to miss th 12 team playoffs. Basketball should be easier since the Big 12 is supposed to be strong but the SEC turns out to be pretty good and no postseason again for sip.
Will they fire all 3 coaches and replace them with some tt or uh or other big 12 retreads?
It will be so much fun to watch.
I don't think that's egg on his faceNyAggie said:Quote:

Why would the Tennessee coach, vitello, have egg on his face?

Unfortunately, I don't think it is a complete backfire.
We're were able to keep the bulk of current players thanks to coach Earley, but the new class (especially the pitchers) did follow...thanks to Max.
Had he come back, then yes, it would have been a complete backfire.
Our new pitching coach is not widely known here, or at least with the students coming in. Thus, I believe our pitching will take a hit or two.
I hope I'm wrong, but that seems to be the perception.

How exactly do we know POS is a swinger? I'm seeing it mentioned by many, but don't know of any reliable source.

Apparently it was an open secret in Ft. Worth circles that he was a swinger and partied a lot

Will be harder this time for him bc of the timing. His first here he was working players right after the regular season.
