It was about to be. BZ's scoop is actually what stalled it.TexasRebel said:LB12Diamond said:
Texas in the Big 12 would have made the 12 team playoff a lot. Now in the SEC. Good luck.
12 team playoff wasn't a thing when they left the Big 12.
Well minus the national championship appearances and trophies.LB12Diamond said:
Did you say CDC would be the next SEC commissioner? LOL
As far as the media crap you just posted. They had that the last 15 years. As well as controlling the Big 12. And did nothing with it. Texas's issues are not going to go away. Their arrogance holds them back.
In the last 50 years we are even in football wins. And at this point have the best set up we have ever had with regards to them.

Let's see how Sankey handles them and their shenanigans. And how the other SEC teams keep Sankey in line … because I honestly don't have a lot of faith that Sankey won't be manipulated and pushed around by them. Let's face it. It is what they do and will continue to do unless someone shuts it down and shuts it down quick
If their move to the SEC in anyway helps them....a big NOPE. No ifs ands or buts.LB12Diamond said:
Now I understand they are a cancer as far as a conference player. And I also understand their fans are maybe the worst in college, only rivaled by Ohio State.
They moved to the SEC for only one reason. They reacted to our football success in 2020 and had no idea what to do for their program so they said F-it.
The thing though, this actually might be the thing to really get us going. Especially in the NIL era. When it was announced three years ago they were moving, I have no doubt many of our boosters jumped and started or gave more to the NIL fund. It probably had a lot to do with our success in the portal the last three years. And now we get another boost bc of the coaching jump. Adding them also removed the SEC west. Playing Texas instead of Bama every year is a bonus, easier game.
Will be interesting to see the final record this year against the sips in the big 3. My thoughts are we are going to be pleased.
THERE AIN'T NO PLUS COMCERNING A DAMNED SIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!LB12Diamond said:

THANK YOU!!!!! THERE AIN'T NOTHING GOOD ABOUT tu, IN THE SEC!!!!!!!greg.w.h said:
There is nothing positive about Texas in the SEC. Hope that helps…
The bribe is ESPN told Sankey he would become college football commissioner or exec at ESPN if he let tu in for free. When it became obvious that neither of those options were realistic Sankey put up a block to a 9 game schedule for free which leads us to today. Now tu is already in and no one making more money. If ESPN or tu can continue to string him along then it will be a serious issue for the entire league and the league will see it first hand on Saturdays when tu gets some questionable calls that keeps their playoff hopes alive.Divining Rod said:
Prenier Aggie says it all- Sankry is the guy to watch.
I would be shocked if there wasnt a huge bribe as they both went undercover to aneak tbe sips in the back door.
Now, they both have serious dirt on each ither because of it. We will see unusual favoritism towards 'sips. just watch.
Walk me through how this happens? I don't think you're wrong, it would take the right timing and somehow tu would have to believe they wouldn't take a PR hit. I am guessing they decide they go to the BIG with Notre Dame, Kansas (yes b-ball) and maybe UVA? Or just ND and tu to get the conference to 20. SEC then takes on a combo of UVA, UNC, Miami, FSU, Clemson, and Kansas/VA Tech?MaroonStain said:
sips next move is to join B1G. They will play their hand to SEC to get more leverage or leave. They will then be told to leave.
This happens within next 3 years...

I need to add to this. sips don't think people hate them because of the way sip is. They think it's because everyone is jealous of them.

While this describes too many Aggies, it's the tsip leadership (not unlike the Democrat National Committee and Dem politicians) who are the insufferable ones. We can all name a select few friends we might have grown up with, or even worked with who are quite pleasant to be around...but those kind of folks aren't the same ones whom have pulled **** like their Athletic Department has for most of a century!Quote:

May have come from watching my dog drag her behind down the street
for a good ten feet or more, now that is "hoeing a road".

I'm friends with two longhorn grads. They are very nice and fun to hangout with.
I think the mentally unstable TexAgs users are slightly delusional about the sips and extremely paranoid that they are out to get us anyway they can.
Log off and go for a walk once in a while
