Yep. Not a fan of the format. The Hawaii team would have never made it to the LLWS i without this format. They got blown out by the Riverside team in the regional tournament, but got to pitch their ace twice and squeaked out a win in the 2nd game they played. Should have had to play a winner take all. This format rewards teams that have 1 great pitcher too much.
Watching this game and 2 tough breaks for Boerne pitching.
Rules question: on a foul tip for an out, is it like a fly ball where you need to tag to advance?

They have to be on the bag until ball get to home plate anyway.
It'd take some balls to say they left the bag between the point the ball got to the plate and it was caught by the catcher.

This ump's as consistent as a few we saw against the Ags this past season.
The guy who stole home (Florida kid) was not on the bag, and did not go back to tag.

Foul tip is a live ball and does not require a tag by the runner to advance

TX coach just confused his P into an illegal pitch. Seemed like they wanted to appeal the runner leaving early and didn't know how to do it
TX team with pitching injuries and bad defense the past 2 innings.
Hopefully they'll rally because that half inning is a hard way to let it slip away
