Schloss talking about treating players with respect after how he treated our players (esp Travis).

I have exactly 0 empathy or respect for lying sacks of **** like this guy. Having players like Targac (and many others) find out on social media that you're leaving? Not having the common decency, respect, and "empathy" to be a MAN and tell them yourself?

What a huge POS this guy is.

I have zero problem with him taking the job at Texas. In terms of baseball history, that and the LSU job are like the top two and it's not even close. It's the way he went about it and the timing that is the issue. It's possibly one of the worst coaching transition stories in college athletics. Although I don't really understand why he would leave a team he just built into a monster that has the same level facilities and money for the rival team He has owned over the last three years… But the job overall is a top two in baseball IMO

I'm so glad that Texags (Richard) asked him the question at the press conference and made him look horrible… Imagine if they had not asked that question.

100% correct. No problem with him taking the tu job. The way he did it, and the timing, is just reflective of his classless, pathetic, ****ty character. Why in the hell would any parent want their kid playing for a "man" like this? By far the biggest issue I had with all of this is the way he treated the players. They didn't deserve to be treated like ***** They worked their asses off to get as far as they did, only to be back-stabbed by a head coach and his staff that were focused on their next job and actively recruiting for their next team during the championship run - a championship that we lost by a total of 1 run. And (reportedly) recruiting players on OUR team to join him. Pathetic.

I was being generous lol. I think they've put a lot of money into their practice facilities and locker rooms which recruits care a lot about. But yeah Olsen destroys the Disch in pretty much every aspect except concessions (they are quite better than Levy)

I seem to remember him getting a lot of blowback for that question before it was clear what that guy (I won't use his name anymore) was going to do.

I hope we ALL learned something from the fiasco. Don't be married to ANYONE, except your real spouse. Coaches come and go. Some legitimately and some not so much. It appears that many, perhaps most, and maybe all of them, will say anything on day 0 and then do the opposite on day 1 or 2 when the ink dries on the contract or other document.

EVERYONE loves their coach (assuming he's good) until the day he leaves for another program, and then the coach is suddenly trash. "How dare he go somewhere else..." We do it to; admit it (or would if we had anyone worth a damn). We don't seem to care if the coach did that to his former team, only to us. However, the disrespect he showed IN THIS CASE to our program (or any program) by the way things went (obviously agreeing, probably signing, and pulling coaches/players BEFORE the CWS was done) was one of the most chicken**** things I've ever seen.

And I'd say that if he did that to t.u.

Richard indeed got a lot of blowback for asking the question because for some reason everyone took the answer to mean that he is staying.

I didn't see the quote until the morning and immediately posted that he's obviously gone, everything he said was about what he had done here or what his intentions were when he came here…nothing about staying here.

I received a one month ban for pointing this out

Was talking with a buddy about this. Schloss is going to be over the top positive in his pressers and other public engagements this season. Him and the AD's PR team are going to try really hard to remove the "asshoIe" label currently on him.

Examples we used is we both would be surprised if he makes any snide comments about the lack of crowd size at any point this year. All you'll hear about is working to bring excitement back to the program, how they appreciate anyone who chooses to come out, etc.

USC has one less championship than t.u. and LSU combined.

And Yale has more national titles than Bama in football. Princeton is #3 on that list. Doesn't make them the best jobs.

USC hasn't been to Omaha since 2001 and haven't even been to a super regional since 2005.
As much as I hate them, the sips are statistically the all time winningest program and have the most trips to Omaha. LSU has the best program of the modern era (last 40 years)

I'd probably throw Vanderbilt and Florida state on that list of top jobs too in terms of fan support, money, and location.

That most certainly does not mean it's a better job. Last CWS appearance was in 2001. Suspect things are going to get even worse for USC playing in the Big 10.

I agree. It's going to be entertaining to see him squirm up there if they start losing a few series in SEC play.

The fanbase isn't used to a .500 conference record being considered a good season. The adjustment period should be interesting.
