Seriously, **** this dude. I hope it does continue to stress him out. I hope it does continue to tarnish his reputation to the die he passes on.

I know, I know, but I do enjoy listening to the guy talk ball and I've consumed every bit of Aggie baseball content available this week.
12:00 mark. He talks about the transition and how things still "aren't quite there off the field."
I still can't believe he didn't realize what the reaction would be like making this move.
What a moron.

A good question I heard asked by baseball media - what if we would have won? How crazy would that have been! I hope karma bites him in the ass and he NEVER makes another championship series.fav13andac1)c said:
"It was a decision I made, we made…Nolan, Max, Mike (Earley) for a couple of days…" not so subtle of a dig there. Screw that dude.
Yeah Jim, it was a decision that none of your former players decided to join in on right?
Nolan Cain will be moving on sooner rather than later.

He held coach Earley hostage. Earley has a family that he needed to take care of and with a new coach coming in, he had no guarantee of a job with the new staff. Screw deushenagle! I cannot wait until next year when they come to town!!!

Coach Earley actually made no money when he came here as a coach because he was the volunteer.TarponChaser said:SHSU-AG said:

This.
Most folks (not really those on this board) don't realize baseball assistants don't traditionally make much money and Earley coming to A&M was the first time he really made good money as a coach. And I've been told that Schloss basically told his assistants that if they didn't come with him they'd be left out in the cold with the new coach and they'd be looking for another job while they'd get a raise coming with him to tu so they did until we hired Earley.
Such a great story! Let's see how far we can take this Fairy Tale! Natty, here we come!ensign_beedrill said:Coach Earley actually made no money when he came here as a coach because he was the volunteer.TarponChaser said:SHSU-AG said:

Cain left his Alma meter for money. His actions from that point forward are not surprising.

This has been discussed at length, but the shocking thing is how much Max improved the pitching, but how vocal the pitchers were about staying.LOYAL AG said:trouble said:

I think Cain thought LaViolette would follow him since that's what landed Jace at A&M. Then I think they expected the key players and transfers to follow Jace and when he didn't their plan for an immediate turnaround fell apart. The players are smart enough to know their most important coach was Earley because they're hitters and he's the hitting instructor. I don't think Grahovac was leaving Earley no matter what so once we hired him Gavin was coming back and Jace knew his junior year wasn't a time to change hitting instructors and possibly technique.

Same. It was awesome to see but also a lil puzzling to me. I didn't see any background or potential background but they came out hot and fast in support for staying. Like there was something behind the scenes driving them. Anything go on that I missed there?
