What did Earley do to self-annoint? I can assure you that while he loves the roster and this team, he didn't want his first year as HC to be the first ever unanimous #1 in Aggie Baseball history.

He didn't print the hats. Someone said it would be a good idea to raise NIL so it was done. Not following the premise. We've earned nothing and I think he would say the same.

Over his head. Not it. Settled on him because of players. Etc. So not explicitly but in so many words. At least that's my interpretation. I've been wrong before and will be again.


Hey, he is a first year HC. Again, patience.

Terrible? A few bad innings, yes. But I actually saw some things middle of the game to the end I liked. Cunningham, Wilson and Moss weren't bad at all, actually pretty good. And we fought. TK's catch. That kid will be special. Jamal had tough at bats but fielded great and has an arm. Let's learn and get a win Friday. Win the Houston tournament and who cares about TX St!

He did the team wrong but not the university. Just took another job. Didn't care for the timing but who cares if it was 1 day after the CWS or 10 days. He certainly did his job while here. The take that he did the university wrong is saying that all the coaches we hired from other schools did their universities wrong yet we don't mind that

I understand but he he got us to the natty, he certainly wasn't trying to lose the game. That would have been his first natty. If things continue we won't make a regional, but I have hope in earley

Well, at least it looks like we have another OF position nailed down by TK, 3rd base by Hennesler, shortstop by Kent and perhaps, 2nd base by Farr and that Tx State looks like a very competitive team both hitting and pitching. Their batters consistently approached the plate looking eager to punish whatever pitch they happened to get while most of our guys (except Hennsler and Kent) looked like they wanted to examine each pitch under a microscope before deciding to take or swing the bat. Cunningham, Moss, Wilson and Ruiz looked promising if not great but the rest of our bullpen is a long, long way from being satisfactory. Almost undoubtedly, our hitting will come around soon.

How can you possibly project the season based on this? I think this is the hyperbole that irks so many in this board - it's one thing to question why we're struggling with the bats, the fielding, and the bullpen. It's totally another to say "we're going to miss a regional", that's just an asinine way of handling a disappointing showing so far this season.

Even if you're trolling, having an Ag tag and making this comment is just gross. Sip pov if I've ever seen one. I want to win as much as any other Ag (I was in CS during the Fran years), but I don't know any Ag that would would rather win with that human waste than lose with a loyal Ag behind us. No thanks, winning like that just isn't us, and my god do I ever want to win.

No. No it's not. This is baseball. This happens all the time. What was amazing and very rare was for us to not lose one of these last year. Great teams lose these games every season. Sometimes badly. Tuesday night games can like that. The lesser team throws their best arms many times and the highly ranked team is using this night to throw guys they normally wouldn't and see where they are at. Plus, great teams lose to lesser teams a lot more than you'd think in baseball even when they throw their ace. It's baseball. Nothing tonight was "embarrassing" at all. This isn't App St handing Jimbo a loss at Kyle. Not even close. It's one baseball game so do t blow it out of proportion.

Tough outcome, but baseball is a hard game. We do have a surplus of talent. It's ultimately up to the coach to figure out how to scratch out wins using the pieces he has...and, again, he has a lot of elite ones.

All that matters is how we look going into league play. We aren't the #1 in the country right now, but we still could be.

This is more than a few bad innings. We have 7 games against far inferior opponents. We have maybe 2 solid performances at the plate, but not a lot of plate discipline and tons of weak popups. We have major holes in the lineup at first and an outfield spot with how kash has played. Hopefully sorrell coming back helps, but the alarm bells should be going off for everyone solely based on how the AB's are going. We aren't drawing a ton of walks and consistently getting loud outs where's it's obvious that the runs will eventually show up. It's concerning - especially because of the level of opponent we have played so far.

Weekend starters seem solid, but apparently no one else can throw a strike. Too many free bases and zero feel from the staff on how to manage the game. Would expect some of that to come with experience but the staff was so poorly managed tonight it's tough to ignore. It would be one thing to see this vs sec opponents, but we look awful versus teams with far inferior talent. There's way too much talent on this team for them to look this bad against such poor competition.
