I might just have a different opinion. Considering we've never won with the your mindset, I'm not sure how many people would agree with it. But I do not blame you for the mindset. My comment was really just saying that I think schloss leaving might be the biggest gut punch to us and will cost us a lot in baseball trying to get back to that level. You don't actually know that (it didn't affect the team). Its couldn't have helped. Again, it was the oddest thing I've ever seen. I get tu has a great baseball history but coaches normally don't leave a school the level of A&M for the main rival. It's rare. Hey, if we were in a lesser conference or a smaller school, sure. But A&M is, and when I say this I'm sure it will piss off some, tu's equal when it comes to ceiling and where you can take the program. Pretty much almost equivalent money and resources. I get the baseball history, but I doubt in 9 other, similar situations where A&M is elite level and tu is looking for a HC, that they actually are able to hire a coach away from us. It won't be money. It wasn't. It was CDC and Mikey him alone. I seriously doubt SOB leaves if tu has another AD. And if you told me in a few years he screws tu somehow, I'd believe it. Supposedly he really is a piece of **** as a person. And there seems to be truth to his swinging ways and living in College Station was too slow for him. Sucks that it had to be tu as the optics can look bad for us, but it was just a perfect storm situation that likely won't be repeated in a major revenue sport.

Based on his divorce and all the things flying around while at TCU, us Ags certainly didn't gripe when he was our coach. Schloss didn't all of sudden turn from choir boy to devil in one day when he left us

A lot of it many of us didn't know. And of course, him being trash and a swinger wouldn't get him fired if he wins. But, as some in the coaching circles have said on the Premium forum, Schloss was already considered a back stabbing POS and a lot of coaches didn't like him. Just a bad human being. Again, I probably don't care if he wins and nothing is illegal. But, these things tend to work out just the way they did when you are dealing with flawed people like he supposedly is. And, again, wouldn't surprise me if he also does a similar thing to tu at some point.
A lot of this is why the UT coach supposedly hates Schloss. He worked for Schloss and doesn't like him at all.
Tell me how it affected the team more then Montgomery getting hurt or Jace getting hurt at the CWS. Based on their play after those sort of factors you can't tell me that it had an affect on that team. That team was an eyelash away from being National Champs without their two best hitters at 100 percent. What did you see that said Schloss flirting with Texas caused something negative with the team last year especially in the playoffs?
Most just didn't care to look. It was out there if anyone wanted to dig.No one digged when we were winning. Once he left us it didn't take long to find all the dirt from the TCU days.

The walks are a big problem. Rudis has been decent out of the pen along with Moss and Freshcorn.
We've got a lot of depth but have a ton of work to do.

That's exactly what I'm saying though. You're right, we've never won with my mindset. But my mindset represents what we as Aggies stand for. Most of us would never trade honor and integrity for a championship or a winning team under a pos that spits in our face. Your "mindset" is much more in line with the sips...they'll sacrifice their first born and not even see that it's wrong, much less care. Winning means a hell of a lot, but not enough to sacrifice who we are as Aggies.

Were you bad mouthing us hiring Schloss then? All the dirt was out there if you cared to look about how he was the same guy at TCU that he appears to be today. Certainly didn't affect us hiring and supporting him here

Nothing I've said has anything to do with the rumors about his personal life. My opinion is fully based on how he treated the team, staff and fans when he jumped ship. There is a right and wrong way to do things, but I'm not going to sit here and beat that dead horse with you.

Well we will see then because he stole lots of recruits(high school) from us so they don't seem to care. If the rumors were out there that he treated players bad then he wouldn't have been able to assemble the teams he had here at A&M. Just like fans, players can be convinced to come regardless as long as you win.
That is exactly what TCU said when he left them. We didn't care.
