I thought the double first base was a rule in college baseball this year, yet they are not using it at the Astros Classic.

What's up? What's the real rule? Is it just an SEC thing?

I believe double first base is now always allowed, but not mandatory.

Ah, OK, so just mandated in the postseason.

In that case, it's a good idea to play with it in the regular season to get used to it.

It's just gotta' be tough to switch between the two! We've played our first 7 games with it, and now we're playing without it.

I only noticed when there was a near collision there last night. I don't even really see the green bag anymore. It's like I've tuned it out.
