And our baseball S&C guy is widely regarded as one of the best in the business.

1st 2 weeks to already have 2 out for year (Gavin and Sdao) does hurt
Sdao was already established. Just Gavin this year.

It wasn't officially announced until September. I can almost guarantee it was known before then by the team. Tearing a UCL and having TJ means a year of rehab.
Just because you didn't know, didn't mean it was unknown to everyone. But even still, it was announced officially before fall ball started.

You're literally arguing semantics. It was known before the team met for fall ball. It was know it was a UCL tear before that and everyone who's watched baseball knows what the recovery for that is.
Additionally, Sdao does not affect the offense nor does he play in the field. He would not have been a significant change to the W/L column at this point in the season.
I'm just saying Sdao wasn't like a huge emotional blow to the season and they've planned around him from day 1. Nor was he an injury that happened this season as was suggested in this thread.
