No, buy another star

He has a 4-year fully guaranteed contract starting at $900k this year and increasing by $50k each of the next three years. So if we fire him this year we are in the hook for another $3mm.

Absolutely not. I'd rather just wait on my request to come through.

Wash, rinse, repeat.. we haven't had a great coach in any sport ever... we continue to do the least with the most. The BMAs just keep throwing money around.

You don't think he would accept a 300k salary as a first year head coach?
Yeah he would have
Wasn't trying to troll anyone. Schloss is a low class turd. Somehow, we won with him. Yah, last year was magical. But to be truly great, you can't eject at the peak of success (to our fkn rival). So, no... IMO schloss wasn't great.Rule#2 said:zephyr88 said:

Our last coach took our program to best season in school history, and he is going to win a national title at his current place of employment, so I'm pretty sure I just took the troll bait. Wow
He made more than that as an assistant.kevmiller said:CrawlingNo5 said:
Imagine being offered 250-300k from this university, who spends money that would make Enron jealous, coming off a national title series and the players actively wanting you to be the head coach. Thats an insult. (Admittedly the performance of this years team is a bigger insult.)

This. It is reason why I was not upset that the entire staff followed POS to Austin. High paying SEC coaching jobs are difficult to turn down when offered. My guess that many of the assistant coaches in the SEC make more than the head coaches in most other conferences.deh40 said:He made more than that as an assistant.kevmiller said:CrawlingNo5 said:

If we don't even make a regional (and right now, we're not going to), he's gotta be gone at the end of the year.
I don't see how Trev keeps his job if we don't move on after missing a regional.

Thanks, I did find it, but because someone bumped it.
The info is powered in this thread, as well. I have questions about the parts of the contract we do not see, such as incentives.
I still don't think $3 mil is a huge buyout for a program that was pre-built for success.
With that said, I think he needs to take back hitting. And we need some players back from injury.
Those making the majority of the errors need to work or need to sit. Defensive errors are far too costly, and we should be better than what we've been in the field.
False. Schloss was a great coach here.zephyr88 said:
