Panic should start when Trev announces Earley is coming back after the worst season of the century and biggest collapse of a pre-season number 1 in cbb history.

Season is over. Not sure how anyone can believe this team will turn it around. Its classic case of team has player friendly coach and he's unable to get maximum potential out of them. We have weak coach and it's on players too because there doesn't appear to be any leadership or accountability in the dugout.

I had no problem with this direction and experiment after schloss pulled that crap. But hopefully experiment is over and we are looking at options for next year. I would expect an announcement within a few weeks and the search is on.

Agree. Need to start over beginning with a new coach. Or at least a new couch for all the players to lay on when they see the sports psychiatrist.

Should also question the judgement of the AD. This level of underperforming is entirely unacceptable. He should not finish the season.

NIL has a propensity of turning hungry into fat and complacent. People wanted college kids paid to play, this is what you get. No heart and zero accountability.

While I agree with you, there is no accountability at A&M in a situation like this. The AD is wealthy and walks a red carpet all over Aggieland.

I'd fire him right now and put one of the assistants in the role at their current pay. It's not like we can get any worse.

I kept thinking that it was just a mojo issue or maybe a batting order issue and it could get turned around. They are simply bad.

No sense to panic now. The season is all but done. This team has talent but has no edge or killer instinct. Likely a combo of an inexperienced coach and roster that bought into the hype. Honestly, you could see the writing on the wall, to a degree, after the first 2 weekends. It's disappointing but this happens when you lose one of the best coaches in the country. Like it or not, JS is a very good coach.

I won't panic. Decades of BAS have led to a level of apathy that lets me not care. I had such high hopes for this season but that's gone. I guess now it's kind of a mild, macabre fascination about how bad things can get.

For you guys who keep the game threads going I have nothing but admiration. You guys are good Aggies in the truest sense of the word. But I won't be there anymore. I just can't.

ehh in my family group chat, the most ecstatic response was "It's fine, saves NIL money and that's important"

I was skeptical, but imo, if your AD hired a rookie head coach and didn't entertain the idea that he might need a year or two to develop, that's really silly of him. This was the gamble, but I think you might regret it if you don't let it play out another season.

Given what has transpired, what group of high school seniors or those in the portal are going to take the chance and play for this coach?

I'm past the point of panic. I'm at the point of full-blown apathy. I love baseball, and I love being an Ag, but this season is a goner. There's nothing to fix this season. Change the lineup? Sure, give it a shot. Fire the coach? Why not, it's only money (we've done worse with football coaching). This team is failing miserably and they are wound so tight that they can't punch their way out of it. The coaches aren't having fun. The players aren't having fun. The fans aren't having fun. #lollygaggers

At this rate, pitching would have to be near-flawless for us to win enough games. SEC offenses are going to score runs so....

On offense, we had 1 walk to 16 strikeouts yesterday (everyone participated by striking out at least once), and one extra base hit.

Trev is there to keep former state comptrollers happy…

Complete failure by everyone involved. The ensuing shock/panic from the schloss backstabbing led to a terrible hire. Trev needs to pull a rabbit out of his hat with the right coach.

I'm past panic.
I will still support, but based on current hitting, I don't have hope.

I saw Earley frustrated yesterday during one of our at-bats. I don't know if his frustration will turn into a change or not. But Binderup's base running yesterday was way too desperate, and bad base coaching.
