Sorrell won't be back for a couple more weeks. Kash might be back next weekend. I'd rather put Bergevin at first over Bindy.

I don't understand why this hasn't happened.trouble said:

I honestly don't understand how Sorrell's fine to sprint the bases but can't play outfield yet?trouble said:

Limits the range of motions. Sprinting isn't an issue. It's the jumping, twisting, pressure from throwing that puts considerable more stress on the muscle. Running the bases is a good thing in keeping the muscles and ligaments loose and promoted healing growth.Gyles Marrett said:I honestly don't understand how Sorrell's fine to sprint the bases but can't play outfield yet?trouble said:

But I guess if he just hits bombs he can jog a lot.
WAtch him. He's not sprinting.Gyles Marrett said:I honestly don't understand how Sorrell's fine to sprint the bases but can't play outfield yet?trouble said:

Apparently Earley doesn't like Berg at 1B either.
He was specifically told not to push it on the base paths, and he clearly has not been. Little by little but we need to protect him at all costs. His bat is far more important right now that getting back in the field.Rudyjax said:WAtch him. Yep, last night he was on first and there was a wild pitch. He chose to remain on first.RED AG 98 said:He was specifically told not to push it on the base paths, and he clearly has not been. He's been bad this year but last night he won that game with 5 RBI… regardless of how this year plays out I'll remember that game from him fondly
He's been terrible, no doubt.Hornbeck said:
Meh.
I said it on another thread, and I'll say it again.
Despite the grand slam, his play this season has been disappointing.
He's below the Mendoza line. I mean, hating .167 isn't exactly tearing the cover off the ball.
What do you want us to do as fans? Be pessimistic and say he'll continue to be terrible? What does that accomplish?Hornbeck said:
Hope is not a strategy.
Earley hoped that Prager would get the last hitter in the 7th. Turned around and walked back to the dugout. Two pitches later, home run.
Despite all the feel good baseball movies, it takes a skilled manager to guide a team to wins. You can have the best players, and not managed properly, you get outcoached and you lose games. If Kash is not hurt, this would not even be a discussion, because Binderup would be on the bench and only see time midweek or pinch hitting. We don't have a lot of margin for error this year.

Watch. That's what I would hope you would do as a fan.
Don't get too bent out of shape, because its the Aggies. In 52 years, I've seen a lot of disappointment.
But folks calling others out as cowards is not really cool either.
The guy has not lived up to the hype. Apparently, he tears the cover off the ball in practice. Were talking about practice. The game results don't match.

Maybe the bat that hit .500+ in the fall and early spring is finally finding barrels?
If so, I hope every single hit is a big FU to the haters on this thread who are so cowardly to not come back and acknowledge that we don't win last night's game without Binderup who "sucks so much" and "looks like a little leaguer".
From Earley interview:Mister Mystery Guest said:
Only 20% of called strikes on Blake lately have actually been strikes. I'm pretty sure he knows he needs to expand the zone with two strikes. I think the stance adjustments are in part an effort to do just that and be able to better cover the river on the other side of the plate. The more in-game plate appearances he gets, the more everyone here is going to love him.
Schloss wouldn't let him hit his first year on campus, wanting him to pitch. It was in his second year on campus that Weiner and Earley convinced Schloss to let him bat and be a fielder again. He doesn't have the AB's yet that a lot of guys might have who've transferred here or who've been everyday players since they got here but he's going to look like that before long. Last night was a sign of very good things to come.
We have to love a kid who turned down some decent draft money to come here right out of high school, survived some of Schloss's mind-games and two head coaching changes since his recruitment, and resisted opportunities to transfer out. Kid's an Aggie.
