Not pulling for UK per say but someone needs to slow down sippie.
there it is -- the Ags' first sweep of South CarolinaW said:
the Gamecocks are in town for a big series vs. the maroon-n-white
the Ags have enjoyed a lot of success vs. Carolina recently
winning the last 3 series in 2019, 2022, and 2024
however A&M has never swept South Carolina -- the Ags could really use one this weekend

several key rubber games today

also UCLA and Arizona with an eye toward regional hosting
the D1 poll is really high on the west coast teams...with 4 in the top 15
but their rankings are not close to matching the RPI -- especially for Irvine and Oregon
No. No they do not.WestTexAg12 said:
The commentators in the tu/Kentucky game today are talking about the Aggies's win yesterday. While I'm glad they're talking about it, they got two key things wrong. He said we swept the Tennessee series and we're building on that momentum. And then we went into extra innings with South Carolina on Thursday and Hayden Schott hit the walk off home run. Do they not do any research before they open their mouth?
Yes, yes, yes and yes. Would also be good if a couple of Big 12 teams would separate from the pile so that the committee has a clear break line in that conference.bullard21k said:
So is there anyone in the SEC we should be rooting against whom could possibly be in the same running as us for one of the last few spots in the field?
Florida/South Carolina/miss st/ Kentucky etc?
When that happens, I always like to look at Massy's composites to see if one of them is a big outlier.W said:

I don't think you can say that with any degree of confidence right now. We could be competing with teams to be the last in the field, but that's not a certainty, and I couldn't tell you right now who our competitors would be.bullard21k said:

If the teams below is continue to lose it does 2 things... (1) It ensures we don't fall farther down the SEC pecking order if we slip up; & (2) it ensures good RPI numbers for our future opponents giving us a chance to pick up some steam in the RPI chase.twk said:

If we end up at 13 wins with a sweep of Missouri and simply getting 1-2 splits in the other four series, then the number of bid stealers may be huge. But, the margins are so fine that we could win 2 more games and be more interested in who is going to host.RED AG 98 said:
My thought as well. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the biggest issue for the Ags isn't the number of bid stealers.

2 on, no outs, bottom of 9 down 5-3
So, we can go to Fayetteville and win a series against the #1 team on the road for the second time this season. Then do it a 3rd time the next week in Austin.jkag89 said:
6-5 pig on ground ball. Uga could not turn the double play (would have been a fantastic play if they did).
