all right, the maroon-n-white return to the Ozarks this weekend...where things have been very difficult for the Ags in the SEC era

Arkansas has won 5 of the 6 series played in Fayetteville including sweeps in 2018 and 2023

the Ags' lone series win was in 2016 -- against the only Razorback team that has missed regional play in the past 20 years

back in the SWC days, the Ags won big series in the hills in 1986 and 1988 vs. ranked Arkansas teams

the '25 squad could use a big series win this weekend too

I was in attendance for the 1988 and 2016 series. We stole game 3 in 88 with a ninth inning comeback, IIRC. I was traveling with George Lengel, and when we recorded the final out, I turned to him and said, "Let's get the hell outta Dodge!" We jumped in George's car and guess what was playing on the radio: Gimme Three Steps. Every time we ran out of range for a station and had to switch, all the way back to College Station, the new station would almost immediately play Gimme Three Steps. We took that as a sign.

Unpossible, I was told on this afternoon's game thread that SC sucks and this was the reason Rudis was able to keep them in check long enough to allow our comeback last weekend.

Fact of the matter, every SEC team other than Mizzou is pretty damn good.

TCU and WVU don't play this season
WVU has been in first for weeks, in part because of a couple of cancelled games that gives them a better win %age. They're 3 games clear in the loss column.
